Awful news, we have found him. Whilst out on the streets we met a local dog walker and told him what we were doing. Unfortunately he had seen what looked to be a black cat in the fields behind where we live, and it was dead. He took us there and sadly it was Caesar, it seems that he was killed by foxes.
We have brought him home and my neighbour is going to decide what to do with the poor babe tomorrow.
This is awful.
I don't want to think about the end for him but he had a good life with the lady. I remember her turning up at my door one night in February after she had caught him, wondering what to do next. He'd had a rough time but at least his last few months were happy.
At least we know where he is now and no more harm can come to him. I'm sorry to have to report such a sad ending. I'm going to curl up with my lot and be grateful they are safe
Please spare a thought tonight for Caesar and his poor mum
