They are vile Lynn  what on earth did you want to see it for? like a veiny lump of raw liver

If something like that had of come out of your body, you'd at least be curious, wouldn't you?  :innocent:

It's rumoured that eating the placenta helps avoid post natal depression in women. It's fact that eating it helps mum's body recover, and in animals it's vital.

I too was asked if I wanted my placenta. I said no.  I just wanted the important bit on the other end of the cord!  :Luv:

Even so, I know mums who've claimed to have eaten at least part of theirs.  :shy:  :scared:

ha ha yes i've seen and hauled plenty of animals ones (sheep mainly)  because A) my first one was useless and didnt work very well at all and was the cause of all the past and ongoing probs  (and i couldnt see it as it was sent away for biopsys etc , and B)  this second one worked fantastically and was my babys total life support for 42 wks  :)

It'll be one afterbirth for each kitten.

Do let me know how many she had in the end. Please can I come with you next week? Pretty please???  :wow:

Sian is going to call me in the morning to give a head count.  I will ask her if we can go next week. She may be up for a cup of tea or lunch as her husband is going away with her daughter - Sharn has to stay home because of the cattery. Her and me have the worst jobs going for any kind of social life  :evillaugh: - although I would swap jobs with her any day  ;D.  will have to be PM or early evening as I have a lot of nuisances guests booked in next week.

One of Amelias was born in my car and OH mistook the afterbirth for a dead kitten; he has felt sick ever since

I had never seen a cat give birth. I saw her eating the afterbirth and it made me
Do they have one afterbirth or one for each kitten? - it was gross  :evillaugh:

She is now called Pippa  ;D

Sian said the gaffe I made tonight should go in a cat mag.

We were counting the kittens and I said to Sharn that one of them wasn't moving and wondered if it was dead. Sian came for a closer inspection and informed me that it was her tail  :evillaugh:

Well I was there for about 1 1/2 hours. She had already had one and I saw 2 more be born. I had to leave as really busy AND I had a hedgehog under the bureau in my living room to release. Only managed to get one pic before the battery died - will get some better ones next week. She was pretty laid back about the whole thing. Even though she is very young herself, Sian said it was probably her 2nd litter as she took it in her stride. Luckily it will be her last  :Luv:

Sorry you can't see them but there wasn't much to see anyway. The 1st born was crawling around like mad and mewing  :Luv:
