It really won't make a difference as long as the chips are working, you scan the cat, easier said than done! ;) and then the reader in the cat flap lets in your cats and no others, I got one when I tired of feeding half the neighbourhood cats and had a ginger visitor that sprayed in the house. Brilliant things. ;D

Good Evening all

I have just purchased a cat flap but not sure if my cats chip will work. They were microchipped at pets at home about 11 years ago.

Has anyone got any idea if it will recognise their chips?

Ps I have no paperwork and cant remember the name of the brand
