LOL. I have a litter tray in the loo & when I 'go' Hugo comes to use it at the same time. Aw bless!
How many cats can you fit in your loo??

Hi Ela. What a good idea to take one on hols... might be a shock!
Yes, my quiet cats come to me when in the loo for a fuss so I sit there as long as they need it!!! Mad! One even looks down the loo when I stand up! Why do they do that???

Fred has developed an interest in the loo as well, just naturally curious I suppose and umm...well they do have a keen sense of smell....sorry  :scared:

Fred liked to look down the loo after I flush, he liked to watch the water.... hasn't tried to jump into it yet though.

Re: I took the light to my daughters yesterday as she is a cleaning freak. With 3 young boys the loo has to be constantly checked. Wow! This was not just dust particles... but wee all down the front of loo. It was discusting! Tea had to go on hold as the loo was decontaminated. LOL

I am now wondering if I should buy one and take it on our holidays, although the bathrooms look like you could eat your lunch off the floor you never know do you? I knew someone who worked in a 'posh' hotel  and the owners wife was showing someone how to clean the bathroom and when it came to mopping the floor  she put the mop down the loo to wet it initially. To make it a catty comment I will say as many others I am sure that some of the timid cats only come near me for fuss when I am say on the loo.

The one I got at the show was from www.rlpetproducts.co.uk & about £10.. I say about, as I bought the Urine Finder Spray/cleaner/deterrent also & not sure how much it all came to.

I took the light to my daughters yesterday as she is a cleaning freak. With 3 young boys the loo has to be constantly checked. Wow! This was not just dust particles... but wee all down the front of loo. It was discusting! Tea had to go on hold as the loo was decontaminated. LOL

Can recommend the spray.

Ooo some cheaper ones on here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_kh/202-2839487-6446266?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=blacklight&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

I dunno if any are any good though - but for under £4 it might be worth buying one just to find out, if you can afford it :)

Cheapest ones I've seen are about six or seven quid, including postage - don't look at the 'urine off' special ones for pets just go for a normal blacklight - they try to market them as if they're something special but they're not - just more expensive!

If anyone oop northwest way has one and wants to auction it out for borrowing for a few days I'd be well up for trying that... can't afford to buy one, though  :-[

I've been looking for these 'black lights' ever since my old girl had bladder stones and took to peeing everywhere bless her, I'm sure there are places we never found or cleaned and I'd love to know (or maybe not!!).

Have you tried taking the peg off your nose Claire?   :faint:

I've never had any of mine peeing outside the litter tray but I'm sure a few droplets get flung here and there!! I think I'd rather remain in ignorance of exactly where.

:evillaugh: That sounds like a lovely gaget. Luckily I won't be needing one as our kitten is very well house trained (I think anyway!) as I havent found any little parcels or pongs anywhere.

I think they also pick up residue from household cleaning products too so that not everything it 'detects' is actually urine.  I've not used one but they are mentioned on US sites a lot.  Sounds useful if you have a cat the pees outside the litter box.  I didn't see those at the supreme yesterday.

UV lights are evil...you'll be forever cleaning your home!!! They reckon even the most house proud person will find dirt under UV light.

Ewch!

LOl that sounds like a very scary thing .... I know I have lots of dust etc (cleaning has never been my favourite pass time) but to have it all highlighted and glowing!!! NOOOOOO!  I'd probbly never come into the house again!

'A Tool to precisely locate urine deposits'

'The odor of dried urine crystals can persist for years. Guessing where to apply Urine-Off can be time consuming, frustrating, and wasteful. With Urine-Off Finder, you can
eliminate guesswork
Identify the precise locations of dried urine
Save money and time using Urine-Off only where needed
Eliminate all old urine odors at their source.'

I bought one yesterday at the NEC Cat Show. Couldn't wait to try it out on where or where not I had missed cleaning up Louis' wee probs. (Persian)
MY house is a cat toilet!!!!! Shock horror :-[
Wiith it being 5" fluorescent ultra-violet it also shows all residue of dust particles. My house is a dust bucket too!!! I can feel an obsession of cleaning looming!

Has anyone else tried this product??
