We'll try our very best! Times are hard for everybody at the moment but every single penny will help the kitties.

I have sent Ron best wishes from all at Purrs but he is not very good at the moment due to the chemo and he thanks us.

Lost Cats Brighton Cat Rescue - Registered Charity No. 1119083 http://www.lostcatsbrighton.org.uk    https://www.facebook.com/lostcatsbrighton

The driving force behind 'LostCatsBrighton' is Mr Ron Ayres.
Fifteen years ago, Ron's friend lost their cat and back then he offered to go out each day and night with them to call and search for him but sadly he has never been found.
However, whilst on their search in the the local cemetery Ron spotted Tom Tom in a tree and after a few days returning each day to leave food he realised he must be a stray. So decided to take him home, he put posters up but no-one reclaimed him.

Tom Tom had a wonderful life and home for twelve years with Ron and is sorely missed by those that had the pleasure of knowing him - A Number One Top Cat So from one little cat being saved, Ron's life changed forever and he started up LostCatsBrighton

Now at the age of 77, Ron's continued hard work and total dedication to helping cats has transformed a small Lost & Found list into Brighton's newest cat rescue organisation. What began as one man helping a couple of cats in need has grown into a service that helps hundreds of cats each year.

"All our cats are given a vet consultation, neutered if required, vaccinated, wormed and de-flead, & micro-chipped. We have a No-Kill policy which means that very often we run at a massive loss. Without outside help like this we would never be able to provide the care that we do. Every bit does help and we thank all of our kind supporters for helping us to make up the difference. All cats are beautiful and deserve a chance at a new and happy life and we will never put a cat to sleep if it can be treated and go on to find happiness in a new home."

If you are in the Brighton/ Hove area, please take a look at the darlin furkids that are looking for their forever home, saved and currently cared for by Ron  -

All the auction funds will go to helping the needy cats direct but Ron does have a Current Appeal running -

"Save our Rescue! New premises required - Please support us.
We are desperately trying to raise vital funds to purchase a secure base. As Lost Cats Brighton is currently in rented accommodation this does not give the rescue a secure enough future if Ron's circumstances would change. Ron has been saving and helping kitties in distress since 1998 and wishes his legacy will go on, long after he is gone. He has sadly been diagnosed with cancer so needs to plan for the future. We hope to purchase a property or a small piece of land to secure the important works in the community and secure the future of our charity. Please help us in any way you can financially however small, every bit all adds up. Thank you in advance.
