What gorgeous kitties you have there.

Given time, I'm sure they will get on famously. :-)

:welcome: Zenobia is gorgeous - I love torties  :Luv:

and Nura is so cute!  :Luv:

I had a one year old I was inroducing to two 3yr olds. She would scream and scratch whenever she was put in 'her' room so I sympathise

Our existing cats spent more time outdoors too initially as Evie would ambush them when they came back in  :naughty:

It takes a while, but is harder than think when you take another kitty on

Yes my sisters got a menagerie and shes always had multiple cats I figured it couldnt be that big a deal,I forgot to factor in Nura's personality, shes going to need a lot of time and reassurance and hopefully the kitten will be sensitive to the vibes Nura is giving off lol though she isnt showing much sign of that.

I think sometimes the more cats you have, the easier they are to add to (which isn't to say they'll always be great buddies - just that most of them will tolerate each other)

Beautiful cats. I know Celia Hammond where I got my two from usually suggest you get two kittens if you have an older cat as they play together and it takes the pressure of the older cat. When I was living at home years ago we got a kitten with quite a old cat and it didn't go down well the kitten was just far too boisterous for the older cat. The older cat just ended up avoiding the the kitten as much as possible.

I imagine your kitten is also missing her family so probably want to get to your older cat for some cat company. I think introducing cats is really difficult I've always found it very hard work although I know many people on Purrs who have introduced cat without much trouble at all. It so much depends on the cat and it's difficult to tell with some cats how it will work until you actually introduce them.

Oh hey yeah Nura was always a fraidy cat but I had a romantic idea id introduce a new kitten and they be friends straight away or at least Nura would treat her with lordly disdain, sadly Nura comes in eats leaves and spends almost all day and night outside, Little zenobia isn't in the least bothered she tries to get to the older cat whenever she sees hert and screams the house down if I separate her by putting her in the other room its a bit of a bother.

:)  Nura is looking very well for her 14 years.  She's got such depth of colour in her coat, and a delightful face.   ;D

Zenobia looks like your typical kitten trubble  :evillaugh:  I gather that she's making her presence felt, and Nura isn't so impressed?

Zenobia is 8 weeks and Nura is nearly 14, I rescued Nura from a toddler menace and to this day she will not abide being picked up, zenobia was a recent purchase from breeder because I figured get a kitten before Nura is too old boy did I make a booboo.
