Well done Sam and all the people involved in making this auction happen. I'm having great fun in the auction, and so is Lucky. These auctions are always for such good causes. Lucky feels sorry for all the poor puds who are strays and who haven't got a nice warm home and loving Meowmy to care for them. She also thinks that it's sad that those poor ferals have never known loving hooman contact. Well done everyone involved in these causes.

no they don't have to be new as long as they are in good condition and you make it clear they are not new items. anything goes! doesn't even have to be cat related although it helps if you can find some cat connecton

Tweet about it, facebook about it but ya aint got long as it finishes on Sunday 1st Dec.

The more bids we have the more we raise for the needy stray cats that aint as lucky as our own. Just £5 more raise can help one more poor babe out there !!!!
The feral & Stay foundation really can help cat rescues by reducing the number of stray cats getting pregnant which out soooo much pressure on the cat rescues! The more we can raise for them the more we can help stray cats and cat rescue!!

That's the fun of it. Last minute decisions - do you go in a few mins before 8pm and keep everything crossed or do you wait until the closing seconds and hope you get in on time, your computer doesn't have problems connecting to the server due to all the activity and your clock isn't much out with the Purrs clock! Also bear in mind that your main competitor(s) for an item may also have their eye on other items and it's hard to put in last minute bids on multiple items. It all gets very frantic towards the end and there are always bids that are just seconds too late. But as Gill says - it's the rescue that is the ultimate winner.

The bidding up til then is for fun, to have a bit of banter with other bidders, to get the price up and now that there are lots of threads some items do have a winning bid that wasn't even placed on the last day, let alone in the closing minutes.

Lol yeah :D purrs auction is different to eBay where here once a year we deliberately want to keep bidding to increase money raised for the rescue which is the whole reason for our annual auction. :D more we can raise the more we can help the stray cats

The chances of you winning more than one item, and if its popular, unless you put a huge amount on it, are almost nill unless you can hit 2000hrs on the nail and 1 sec over and you have had it.

As I have said before this auction is about having fun raising money for the rescue and the fun is trying to sneakily out manouvring your rivals.

That's the chance you take, the Purrs auction is unique in that it's all about the charity, so whomever wins or loses the item, the charity always wins.

If you can be there at8pm next Sunday, you have a very good chance of winning your top item. But be prepared for some stiff competition, from here on in, the gloves are most definitely off
