Riding stables are always good places for kitties to hide ... warm, dry and usually plenty of food (mice).  Fingers crossed he goes to a stables.

Thank you for your suggestions, we have had a large poster campaign, but there are very few houses close by, its all railways canals and riding stables. we have posters in the railways, and on all bus stops plus the nearest estate.

I agree with Helen,  you need to leaflet every house near the cattery.  Leo will be confused and scared and there is a strong chance he will be in the area lying low.

Please follow as many of the hints and tips you can on the link provided.

Yes don't give up someone reported their cat had been lost from a cattery earlier this year and it took quite a while to find them. I can't find the thread but maybe someone else can, you might find it helpful.

Sorry to hear leo is missing  Have you seen the list of hints and tips here? http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html Not all of them will apply as he is missing away from home but there'll be lots that can still help get him back.

Have you leafleted in the roads nearby the cattery? Also worth looking at google earth images to see what the outlying area is like. I know how desperately worried you must be but don't give up hope. On this forum alone there are recent stories of two different cats lost at two different service areas right by the motorway and hundreds of miles from home who were found safe and sound, albeit one cat was AWOL for several months.

Thank you, its been a week now and the weather is turning bad, so we are starting to lose a bit of hope. The catteries is over 3 miles from his home. hate the fact that somebody else did this, but we are trying all we can to get him home.

How terrible for you that he was lost while you were away! I do hope that he is found, safe and sound, very soon

Leo
2 year old tabby (male), lost in the Shevington area(Wigan) by Deandane catteries while we were on holiday.
Has blue collar and red name tag, micro-chipped by the vet. White hind legs, black/white tabby.
Catteries lost him but he could be trying to get home to wigan.
Please check your sheds, and gardens in the shevington/or Gathurst area
Reward if found
