Thats what makes me think the cat has gone walkabout. The finder seems to be niaive in cat husbandry so I'm hoping he/she is simply waiting out the week before making any decision.

It's strange that they haven't replied as by posting the ad they obviously want to help the cat, even if they didn't respond to messages from 'strangers' you think they would have replied to the Cats Protection message.

I've sent another private message to the finder this morning Pav, having heard nothing so far.

Sue at Harlow CP is still waiting for contact as well, she's told me she'll let me know if she hears anything as I've offered some financial support if she gets him in.

I hope he hasn't disappeared, that would be such a shame when there's so many folk wanting to help.

Just heard back from CP Harlow - they've sent a message too.

Hopefully this little fella will be OK, just need the finder to get in touch with one of us to secure his future.

Since finding such a great home for the little stray tortie from Wimbledon, I feel like I'm on a lucky streak.

I didn't post on the public bit but sent the finder a private message with the link to the Essex rescues, I see others have posted on the public bit too but wonder whether that triggers a notification to the finder so might be worth sending a private message just in case it doesn't?

It's not too far from me, about half an hour's drive. I've added a comment so if the owner is not located or the finder can't take him on, I will offer him a place here with me temporarily. Poor wee thing.

Aw it breaks my heart, i think i have said in previous posts that this is happening more and more as people have less and less money coming in for whatever reason and the first one to suffer is the pets.
Hope the poor thing gets to live in nice surrounds and comfort from now on.

Oh God, poor thing.

I've e-mailed the link to CP Harlow, they cover the area and might decide to get in touch when they see the state of him. I don't think he looks old at all, just really not coping well outside (Tuffers was in a similar state - long haired cats don't tend to do well on the outside).
