That would pretty much confirm my suspicion of her rehoming Saffy and not letting you know, to be honest. It's a long time for someone to keep a cat they wanted to rehome and not take the help offered.

Least you tried.

Aww, Lisa. I hope not too, but some people say things just to sound reasonable. (ie: "I'll let you know one way or the other.") Hopefully I'm wrong and she just doesn't check her emails very often!

Received and email sent.

I've also asked her to consider smaller local rescues if she feelsshe can't keep Saffy. Less travelling is probably better for her, but I'm still there for her to come to if needed.

claire theres 2 reasons i couldnt have her

(1) id never let her go once i had her

(2) oh said theres no way we can afford anymore cats

just had an email bk
saying the people from the hubbys work isnt sure if they will take her now and that she might take me up on my offer if they let her down but shes worried a rescue would put saffy to sleep if she didnt find a home ,i explained cpl would never do that !
ive told her about jacks offer too
but the thing is is there anyone that could get this cat from portsmouth up to jack ??????????????????

Do you think you will get the truth? Even then unless a home visit has been done by someone who knows what to look for I bet they don't what type of home it will have gone to.

i got an email late last night to say

thanks for ya help but we have found someone who will take her on

i hope it was someone half decent
i did try my best to persuade the woman to do it my way but obviously she prefered to do it her own way

im going to email bk in a min and ask what kinda home she went to etc

thank u jack for wanting to help and offering to take her it was very kind of u
but i doubt her owners would of been able to get her up to where u r
and i dont have a car so i couldnt of done anything to get her to u
i hope she went to someone nice where they will love her and look after her .

Lisa, if transport could be arranged and the owners agree, I can talk to my partner. We do have four cats already, but if she wasn't integrated properly there's a chance she won't mind once she realises she's safe. (I guess it's worth considering.)

I agree smudge. An eye for an eye. If they are mentally ill, they should be in hospital, otherwise the punishment should fit the crime. It scares me, you can walk down the street and see people that look ordinary but what is going on their heads?

right. when we took Tabitha on 8 years ago she had, had her front paws tied together and been thrown through a basketball net

they had 8 bunnies too that 3 had fly strike and 2 dead baby bunnies underneath all the rotten straw........... they had also been kicking her about. I had her two weeks and a £1500 bill she had a twisted small and large intestine and a tube leading to her liver was blocked and the waste was leaking into her bloodstream...............and a tooth removed

I think that a law should be bought into place that whatever is done to these poor defencless animals the same is done to the scum

that inflict the pain and suffering

tbh jack i dont think shes had enough time to settle in

everytime i think about wat shes been through i get really upset

the lady said she would let me know after 8 this evening

ive been telling my oh about her
and straight away he said
NOOOOOOOO We cant have any more cats

i know i cant have anymore pets because we really couldnt afford it

i just want her to have a chance of a decent home

u dont know how many times this afternoon ive felt like asking for the door number and going to get her

ive gotta wait till after 8 tonight when the ladys oh comes in before i know if she will let me help or not

the ladys own cats have been neutered and saffy is an indoor cat so at least she wont get pregnant while she is stopping there

i dont think shes given her enough time to settle in with her own cats b4 putting her on gumtree for rehoming but thats just my opinion .

will update when i know more later on
