Good luck, your local council must be differnet from mine as they do not allow cat home boarding (only dog).  Good luck and enjoy it.

Good luck
Do you know the Model Licence conditions for catteries is in the process of being updated (those in respect of kennels were updated last year).  But I am sure your premises will consider all the cats needs.
It is a wonderful job, which I enjoy and  I hope you will to. Just one thought I hope you have considered  the practicalities that you will need family /staff to cover you when you need to go out - shopping, bankings etc.

Sorry to hear that you've been having a rotten time of it  What a great positive attitude to have though, and a great opportunity to have the best cattery in the area if you're starting from scratch -  onwards and upwards!

Hoping to open a cattery

I have decided, after an horrendous 5 years of divorce, and various other painful things that have happened in my life recently, that I need a life change.

So, I have today send in drawings to the local council for outline planning for a cattery in my garden. I need a job and I love cats, so what better than to get paid for looking after them. I fostered for a couple of years and loved it. Would have a house full of cats if it was practical. I now have three plus a Springer Spaniel Dog. Would like one more cat and another dog, though :)
