whereabouts in Wales are you? always assuming the 'Wales' is geographical, and you're not one of Charles' offspring :evillaugh:

I live halfway between Carmarthen and Cardigan

Love your cats  :Luv: :Luv: and to see Tips playing with Da Bird!  I have a blind cat but he doesn't play, he is elderly though.
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Thanks - I'll have a go.

Tips has been blind since she was younger than 6 months old. We know that she could see when we first adopted her from rescue (along with her mum and siblings when she was 6 weeks old). We started noticing that she would miss judge things (like running into closed doors/jumping too high etc). The vets says that there does not appear to be a blood supply to the back of her eyes and thinks that she probably does not see anything at all.

We have adapted the house to make it safe for her (eg we have put clear perspex on the stairs to stop her getting through, and we have cat proofed our large garden to give her safe access outsite). Apart from that, and some minor adjusments to how we act towards her, she is pretty much like any other cat. We speak when we approach her not to startle her, and games have to make a noise (hence da bird is great for her!). She does amazingly well - a lot of our friends take some convincing that she is blind!! We love her to bits  :Luv:

What beautiful cats  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: I just love that one of Tips playing, is she totally blind or can she see light/dark (I know you can't ask her but thought maybe the vet could tell?!).

I have downloaded special software to resize my pics (VSO image resizer), if you don't fancy downloading anything and only occasionally resize pics then this site is great: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

Very easy to use, just scroll down to the bottom of the page, select the photo you want using the 'browse' button, choose what size you want it to be (600 pixels is about the size of a retro printed photo!), click the resize button. The next screen shows your newly resized picture, just right click and 'save as' and then it's saved to wherever you asked it to be ready to be uploaded in the normal way on here or any other site  :)

Glad you've found us, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.  It really is a very friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice, if ever needed, and of course lots of fun.

I do feel it my public duty to warn you though that it can be a teensy bit addictive  You have been warned  :evillaugh:

If you need any help with posting pics feel free to ask, we do like our pics to drool over! :drool;  :Luv2: Do I take it from your username that you and your furry gang live in Wales?
