Some of you may have seen photos I posted of Oscar when I first got him. For those of you who haven’t, here are his details:
Oscar was caught in a trap by my RSPCA friend in Jewsons wood yard in Grantham, Lincs. He was born to a feral mum, but sadly, neither mum or any other kittens were caught.
He was taken into the vets where I used to nurse and was approx. 4-weeks old. When he was taken in, the RSPCA officer/ nurses/vets thought he wouldn’t make it. He was very flat and dehydrated, so had fluids and meds.
The next day, my nurse friend called me (knowing I couldn’t say no and would look after him!).  He was already drinking by himself, so I kept him on Cimicat to build him up and rehydrate him, and gradually weaned him onto good quality wet and dry food.
Oscar is now approx. 9-weeks old and MENTAL!!  :naughty: He is a VERY lively kitten, and has made himself at home with my 11 cats of varying ages (except Edna, nobody attempts to play with old Evil Edna!) and two dogs. He was spitting and hissing and growling at me for the first 3-days, but loved the cats instantly. Now he is an absolute sweetheart! He’s well socialised with cats and people, is getting used to the dogs, and has been going out into the cat run for about two-weeks getting used to sound and smells. He has been wormed and is a picture of lively health.
Ideally, Oscar is looking for a home with one or more other young/social cats, as for Oscar it’s all about playing and running and being a happy, naughty kitten!! I am asking for a donation of £25 for him to cover some of the costs of taking him in. This enables me to continue taking in the needy ones both old and young.
Oscar must be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (I will check!) and can’t go outdoors until all this is done at about 6 months old.
If anyone is interested in Oscar, please send me a message.
Photos attached...
Liz
