Helen, I've sent you a messsage re the Hepatosyl, the vet said it's Ok to give her.
I'm totally confused by Cora. 15 months ago, she was given only days to live, her ALT was off the scale according to the vet I had at the time.
I know it depends on what type of machine they use, but even so, it must have been high.
I gather the normal figure is in the region of 300-ish.
Before Xmas, ALT was over 600, and went down a bit, and she was really badly jaundiced and not eating then. Now the jaundice is going, but her ALT was 1,300-odd when the last tests came back.
I'm wondering if this is what happens when she goes off her food, then starts eating again a couple of days later - does it drop back on it's own for some reason?
I'm going to make you all laugh now - we are having lots of loves and plays, and she has always slept with me, and loves to have her tummy tickled. I woke up in the middle of last night, and found myself tickling her tummy in my sleep! She was on her back enjoying it!
