Hi,
I don't know whereabouts in Cheshire you are, but Greenbank Vets http://www.greenbankvets.co.uk/ do all the Cat Protection work for Stockport Cats Protection, they are based in Gatley and are very reasonable. Maybe if they are close enough the reduced cost would help make it possible for the support worker to take her on.

I'm sure Cats Protection would be willing to loan you a trap and scan her for a microchip once she is caged, find your local branch here:  http://www.cats.org.uk/find-us?loc=7 I would think that you should also be able get a discount neutering voucher from them.

Hope everything turns out well for Aero, she is lucky to have someone looking out for her

As Janeyk said CP will probably help with the trapping but of course she needs to have a place to go after being trapped. Some vets like mine are now treating and putting up for rehoming a few cats and kittens so do not know if you have a friendly vet group in the area who dont shove a time limit on before PTS.

Lets us know how your friend goes with speaking to the vet and hope that Aero gets a good home.

Hi and welcome to Purrs!

Well done for caring for this puss.  If you need to find a home for her then it's best to go through a rescue as they will do proper checks and find just the right home although there will probably waiting lists but do ask to go on there.

Which area are you btw? here is a list of rescues just click on the map and you'll be able to find those closest to you:

Regarding catching puss, it would be best to ask a rescue like your local Cats Protection they will be able to loan you a trap and advise you accordingly, I have done that myself.   It would be a good idea to do that asap in case she needs spaying.   Best of luck

eta: it's fine posting in this section, if you do find you need to find a home for Aero then post in Cats Needing Homes Section.

Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

hi everyone,
sorry if have posted this in the wrong place but yesterday had spent a long time wondering which board to place this on as it isnt quite definite to post on the rehoming board but is around that topic, sorry if that doesnt make any sense. :-:

am a resident of a residential home in cheshire/on the boarder of manchester and recently had come to notice a beautiful little black and white young cat in our front garden, she had made a nest for herself in our holly bush which is up against the building,so had never noticed her.
was told by staff they had seen her in the car park often but didnt realise she was staying in our place.

she is definitely under one years old, older kitten age is very likely, she is definitely not as set in her ways like an adult feral,as at one point had managed to gain enough of her trust to get up close and let her sniff hand without feeling threatened, she isnt as able to fend for herself like a feral adult either so we realy need to get her a loving place.
we have a farm with lots of rescued cats, chickens and other animals, and had managed to get the owner to agree to take aero on as long as am there every day but being in residential care; am not funded 'outdoor time' and have to go out with the others, which a risk assessment says no to,so we are back to the beginning of needing a place for her.

am extremely hopeful this little puss [whom we have nicknamed aero] coud be rehabbed well and become a good companion for someone who is willing to be patient with.
she hisses when gotten near but she is just genuinely in shellshock at her surroundings and being close to people,no aggresion.
we are not allowed to have cats inside the home because some residents woud be aiming agresion at them,am moving to a different place where woud have been allowed to take her but that placement does not go through for up to a year.

one of our support staff has said if he can get the initial vets fees sorted out or helped with,he will take aero on,him and his wife are huge animal lovers but had only just lost their lovely soppy boxer to cancer in the past few weeks and they are down on cash at the moment for vets fees as a result.
he has a friend who is a vet and is planning on speaking to her on monday to see if she can help out,so if the money side works out we do have a home at least.

sorry if the post is not to understandable, but am especialy wondering a few questions:
-if anyone woud be interested in taking on little aero, that woud be assuming our support staff is unable to take her on [depending on the vet answer he gets].
-if anyone woud be at all able to catch her for us,we do not have a trap-or know of where to borrow traps from, have personaly lived around and rehabbed ferrals for years at the family home but never had to catch one as we have kept them all,so have got no clue what to do,even when have researched it.

woud be so greatful if anyone coud reply with any ideas or help at all, thanks very much! :thanks:
