Nina is proving to be a very good mum. Her babies are kept so clean and well fed, they hardly need to squeak and she is there.

Took these last night to show all how pretty they are.

Nina has finally decided its time to show us her babies :Luv2:

She went into labour just after midnight and by 3 am was the proud mum to 4 little ones. Nina was a real star, didnt have to help at all just stood by with towels and hot water to hand.

They are lovely marked, black and white and a tabby and white, from what I can see. Will try to get a better look later when she and I have had some sleep

Thanks for all your kind messages, been a bit of a hectic day today.

Nina is fine ;D

She was fine with the vet last night who was at a bit of a loss as to why she should be spotting. Nothing whatsoever found to be wrong with her, and she had a very through exam. Anti-biotic jab and came back home with me. Had a big wee and her supper, typical!!!

Just playing the waiting game now, the vet did think she was having at least 4! She thought Nina might go anothe 2 or 3 days.

Watch this space.

Thats what we are hoping, T. Nicky is on her way to the vets at this moment. I saw here an hour ago and no signs of labour then and though not a lot of blood she is still spotting.

Well the only things more fickle than women are cats so I suppose it should come as no surprise that she has decided to wait a while  :evillaugh:

Thanks Jiji, Nina seems determined to keep us all waiting now.

She has been thoroughly fussed over, which she enjoyed. However, no more signs of babies yet even though we thougth she was having contractions. Have left her to it, we may be distracting her.

Whoops. Looks like Nina has fooled us all.

Just been to check on her and found a few spots of fresh blood on her bedding. Panic mode set in, but Angie has very kindly reassued me this is normal, and to expect babies today. Never had one give birth in the day before, used to middle of the night ones, which I sleep thorough until I hear the first squeak.

Midwives Judith and Rosie on way over with hot towels, sweet tea and reassurance (that`s just for me!)

Watch this space folks, we could be a grandma this afternoon.

Still no babies! Judith thought she might go up to another 5 days or so when she saw her tonight.

She is coming out of herself and enjoyed her visitor, but we had to watch in case she decided to go play hide-and-seek under the bed again. Had to almost dismantle it last time to get her out.

No movement kitten-wise yet, and we know its not just a bad case of worms as she has been throughly treated for them last week.  She`s eating well, and weeing every few hours so surely she cant go on much longer.

She is very comfy thanks very much, especially as her roomies Lois and kittens are downstairs as from today for socialising.

Do you remember the lovely Anne who used nessa as her user name?  The rescue world is a much poorer place without her now.  :'(

That would be a lovely tribute to her, she would have loved that.  :)

Judith, Angie took the call the other day about this little one. She was turned up in a garden and the lady was feeding her whilst trying to trace an owner. She noticed she was getting fatter after a few weeks, so rang for help.

Angie and I went to scan her on Monday after collecting the pen from the feral rehome we did a few weeks ago. When we got to the house, the lady had managed to get her into the conservatory. Angie and I both looked at each other, and as she had no chip decided she was too close to having babies to leave where she was, waiting for a foster space. The notorious "Plan B" as they say, when you just take the cat (or dog) with you and sort it out later! The only cat carrier Angie had in the car was the one with the dodgy catch, so drove home with her on my knee, holding it together. Quite what my neighbours thought, I dont know.

Bless her, with all she went through she has been super! No babies yet but she was a bit vocal and restless last night.

She came in called "puss, puss" which was very original too. A trifle confusing I think with all my lot. They get called Kitty collectively.

She looks like my neighbours late cat who he took in as a stray as she had been wandering round the village, she came to him minus her tail poor thing, he very imaginatively called her Pusskin  :evillaugh:

JiJI, like the name Nuala. Someone in the park when I out with the dogs this am suggested Narnia, which I also liked. Can see a vote looming.

Took this of her this morning. She is very gentle and seems to have a quite, friendly personality. Bless her, she must be wondering what has happened to her since last night.

You didnt waste time getting the news out Angie

The latest addition to the nursery is doing very well. She has taken it all in her stride and has been watching Lois from the comfort of her own pen with interest. Lois is such a good mum, and they seem to be happy sharing their confinements.

Just need a name now beginning with "N", has anyone got any ideas? She is a very pretty grey and white shortcoated miss with a loving personality. Just cant think of a name myself which suits her sweetness.
