Thank goodness my lot arent fussy!

In our freezer we have packs of Natural Instinct raw which they have the majority of the time.

In the cupboard we have Whiskas Supermeat/Whiskas in Jelly (tins) for occasional mealtimes, plus I always keep some tins of Applaws/Encore as I find these really good for any cat that has poor appetite (doesnt happen often lol!  ;) )

There's also bags of Purina One Sensitive dry for their bedtime snack.

I have a differnent problem to everyone else.       I have a cupboard full of Bozita.      Plus another cupboard full of almo nature, lily's kitchen, petnatur, granatapet, grau without rice, macs, pfoetienliebe and tigercat.       There is also loads more of these under the stairs.       Plus I have a big bag of origen and one already open.      My cats will eat all of this  ;D.        With Karlo now only being able to eat a single source protein all I can put down to free feed is Grau with rice.        I'm getting through approx 4-5 tins of this a day, and having to order pretty regularly.     Whenever Karlo is out of the kitchen I'm trying to feed the rest the other food, but I suspect it will take a long time to use it up!

Yes what is it with cats?  You buy them the best food you can and all they want to eat is junk?  Cashie usually won't eat anything unless it comes out of a Felix GAIL or Sensations pouch.

I have tried to get him to eat raw lamb mince,  fillet steak, FILLET flaming STEAK!!! Oh but he won't have that, or cooked chicken or fresh fish and he won't eat Almo or Purely or Encore or even Applaws....... he will, at a push eat Hi Life which has a high meat content though but then all of a sudden he can't possibly face it and will try to bury it.  So yesterday I thought sod him and got him some cheap stuff called Feline Fayre from Savers which to my surprise was 60% fish, looked and smelt pretty good..... and what is more.... he actually ate it! But I expect if I feed it to him again tonight he'll look at it in disgust.

The hedgehogs and foxes round my way are probably some of the best fed in the country, due to the amount of leftovers that Mr Precious won't eat that I have to put outside at night.  ....... and then there is Izzy who will eat anything and everything and is now on a diet... now that's fun, starving one while trying to entice the other to eat more!

If they won't eat the food, I take it to our nearest cat sanctuary 'cos it will only go off eventually and then give I give fussy little devil a good talking to about how there are plenty of needy cats out there who would be grateful for anything to eat.  (It doesn't work but it makes me feel better.)

Jeez we do spoil the little blighters don't we?

I agree Clarenmax!

You dont realise until you have a poor feeder how frustrating it is, couple with fact Tim has a very poor digestion so if it suits, pander to them.

When you have a poor feeder thats also terminally ill (dog wise) you would move heaven & earth to get them something they (a) eat and/or (b) can eat without being sick

You should see our downstairs bathroom, full of partial boxes of food that  his lordship will eat one day, then completely turn his nose up the next  :shy:

He won't eat anything that's supposed to be good food, so Nature's Menu, High LIfe, anything with a better meat content, just turns his nose up and walks away.

Now he wont' eat any Whiskas in jelly, and Felix is very hit and miss too.  He will eat anything if its in gravy, and he does like Felix AGAIL, Sensations, and Whiskas steamed range too.  Hi does love Gourmet Pearl though, and he will also eat Sheba.

But for how long who knows hahaaa!!!  I know we want them to eat the better stuff, but as long as they're eating something then I guess that's the important thing lol!

I tried the Felix sensations with them and they absolutely loved them but then after a week or so started turning their noses up - have tried a few times since, but it seems they are intent on only eating Tuna or Chicken Felix :)

I wouldn't be able to starve these two - I tried leaving them with the food they didn't like down... I got harassed until I fed them food they'll eat!! Plus I felt awful... I wouldn't eat something I don't like the taste of and hope that I'm never starved in the future and force fed horrible food :(

Have you tried the Felix "Sensations" range of cat sachets?  I made the mistake of buying a box of them one week instead of the ordinary Felix in jelly not they wont entertain any other variety

Mindy takes every opportunity she can to pinch the adult Felix food.  She was on Whiskas kitten when we got her but we mix in some Natures Menu kitten.  She likes the Whiskas jelly and also the taste of the Natures Menu but prefers a little bit of each  :naughty:  She absolutely refuses dry cat food

Only Lupin would do that and then his tummy would be runny again!

Some cats will starve themselves rather than eat what they patently dont like which goes right across nature but I am not going to let any of mine do that and once I find what they eat, thats what they get as long as it doesnt make them ill.

Trouble is sometimes they change their minds  :innocent: :innocent:

I have a cupboard full of various foods (Grau, Kattovit sensitive, Cosma, Almo Nature) but that's only because I bought them to try Riley on when it was thought he had some kind of food intolerance. I never got round to starting him on them as wanted to get him stable on what he was put on by the vet (RC sensitivity pouches) before I tried anything new and *touch wood* it seems he's actually a faker as he's been fine for ages on their usual Bozita wet and James Wellbeloved dry.

I do feel quite lucky at how un-picky they are when I read others trials and tribulations with food!  :shy:

Guess I'll have to go to Pets at home today and stock up on single pouches.Just glad its not just me!! lol x

I've got a spoilt little darling on Gourmet too  ;)  She never leaves any so it's not wasting money.  I tried her on every cat food on the shelf when I first got her and wasted so much money having to throw it away.

I also give Bonnie Whiskers biscuits and as you all know, I always have a good supply oif Dreamies for her  :naughty:

Smudge R.I.P - mostly ate tins of tuna (that's Princess Tuna NOT Tuna Cat Food)

Tibby R.I.P - lived to be 26 and she would only eat pilchards in tomato sauce.

Try putting a few Dreamies on some Felix pouches for T&D - they MIGHT be fooled into eating it  ;)

Mine eat gourmet perle pouches, fish ones. And currently have about 6 packs of dry biscuits open. We only usually buy the smaller bags because they like variety!!! New fav is the alacarte gourmet. Spoilt bratts they eat better than us.

I have the same problem with my girls. Tried everything - cheap to expensive - and they'll only eat Felix pouches, preferably fish. Won't touch the tinned Felix. I got fed up throwing food away so that's what they get! They seem very healthy on it though. For a bit of variety, I sometimes buy them a pack of roast chicken pieces (the Tesco value stuff) which they love.

I look out for Felix on offer, which it often is - either at Pets At Home or Tesco - and stock up.

I thought for ages that it was the cats tryna rebel cos I was feeding them rubbish lol!!!

Oh dear, I guess 30-40p per pouch is pretty good going then eh!?
Should count my blessings haha!!!!

Jess (rip!!) ate anything you gave him, he wasn't fussy at all. Davey caught the fussy bug off Tinks, it's like he saw her turnin her nose up and thought "I'll have a go at that too!!"

Afraid its costing me much more than that per tin...........they wont eat pouches any more!

I am using various gourmets and sheba flat tins, Sasa will only eat the tuna and shrimp which is the higher price range. Ducha eats gourmet ocean fish pate mixed with water..........he would gobble biscuits and other stuff but gets immediately sick.

Misa eats Sheba terraines........there are 3 of them rabiit, chicken and duck and gourmets that are not chunks, except chicken and liver.

Lupin of course even more expensive cos he is on a special rc food, and hope not for too much longer but he will eat almost anything but his tummy does not like this!

I think you probably stick with the felix ones they will eat LOL

ok I am at my wits end now with 2 very fussy eaters here and need some ideas.
Currently, Davey and Tinks will eat Chicken or Tuna Felix pouches in Jelly. For some reason, they will only eat the pouches that are sold indiviually. Even the pouches that are exactly the same flava, in jelly, that come in the multi packs they won't eat.
I can't get multipacks anyway cos they'll only eat chicken or tuna.

I've tried whiskers, sheba, supermarkets brands, you name it!

Tinks like fresh cooked chicken but Davey turns his nose up. Davey will eat fresh tuna but Tinks turns her nose up. They will eat Go-cat dry food but will only have a small amount per day.

I've tried the felix tinned food, again they wont touch.
I've tried changing where they eat, what they eat out of... again you name it I've tried it!

ANY IDEAS?
i need to entice them and get them out of this fussy phase, its driving me barmy and costing me so much more cos I'm paying 30-40p per pouch!!!

Please help me :(
