There we were, me and the 3 downstairs cats, quietly watching the Telly last night when suddenly Carrie (the gentle, nervous one) started howling, it was the most awful noise. I thought she was ill - fitting - dying at the very least. She was sitting in the window behind the curtains, her favourite spot, and I was dreading what I'd find when I got to her. She was absolutely fine, but furiously raging at a beautiful black cat outside in the front garden. I've seen him around, he seems to be quite friendly with Jess (the upstairs cat, who only goes out in the front garden). Anyhow, the noise went on and on til I eventually went out to shoo him away. I don't know Carrie's history before she came to Covcats, but she's a bag of nerves who won't be handled. I felt a bit proud of her as I think she was defending 'her' territory, and very honoured that she feel my house is hers.
