At the appointment it was clear there was nothing else to be done. She did try to eat this morning, but it was obviously very difficult for her, and when Jane the vet opened her mouth I could see how much the tumour had grown inside the mouth and Jane said very soon it would either prevent her from swallowing at all or affect her breathing.

I wanted Jane to come out tomorrow sometime, but she persuaded me to pts there and then - I feel terrible now, because before the appointment I'd cleaned BB up around her mouth again as it had been bleeding, and then went to get the cat basket, but she ran off upstairs and under the bed, which she's never done before and I struggled to get her - so her last moments were me trying to get her out from under the bed, and then taken off to the vets again, not the calm and peaceful way I wanted

- although it was very quick and peaceful at the end.

I am so very sorry to see this but I am sure you made the right decision.

BB was a gorgeous little girl and know you have lost so many to the Bridge in such a short time and one is hard to cope with but you have just been having such a hard time.

Rip BB and find all your mates on the Bridge and play hard

Gillian you haven't posted BUT the thread name now has RIP. I am so sorry it's had to end this way. you did everything possible to extend her life and the life she had was wonderful.

Enjoy yourself on the Bridge BB - go find the rest of your friends from the Persian Palace.

Gillian I know you will make the right decision for BB - you and BB have both tried your best to keep her going and I agree with Gill (Sneakiefeline) - life is a ruddy princess. Also agree with Gill (Bunglycat) - I feel like I know everyone of them cos of all the pics - I even have some printed out and on the wall by my computer - they cheer me up so much

its so not fair especially when she is trying to eat and get better .

I really hope she picks up again after the vet visit .

Things not looking good again

She's struggling a bit to eat now, sad thing is, she wants to eat. There is more bleeding from the tumour, that must be horrible for her. I've made an appointment for Thurs evening - but if its her time, I really want Jane the vet to come to the house, so I don't know whether to keep the Thursday appointment to make a decision and see if Jane can come out sometime Friday, or just make an appointment for her to come out anyway, but that will mean making that final decision, which I know I've got to do anyway,

Its all looking good, she ate breakfast and has just eaten all her tea, she's very bright today - I know its prob the steroids, but hey - its just so good to see

. In the back of my mind I know I'm going to have to face the inevtiable at some point, but for now she's doing ok.

well.....vet gave her abs/steroid/vitB jab to see if it could stimulate her appetite - and blow me, we returned from the vets and she polished of nearly a whole plate of food! Now I know it wasnt the meds working that quickly - so the little fraud (not really

) had me all worried for nothing - and I get the feeling she would have eaten this evening anyway

.

Vet did say it may be getting to the point where we have to call it a day, but BB obviously has other ideas for the time being anyway! She's got another course of antirobe, as this current dip sort of coincided with finishing the last course, so we'll just see how it goes over the next week, but I think, both she - and I, are feeling a bit brighter this evening
