Excellent news .... can I move this to the "sorted" section now?
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Update- to summarise long complicated chain of events, have discovered he has a home and may be getting another before long (though not with us sadly). Won't say too much more, but am feeling happier about him than I was earlier...may post full story sometime. Thanks all!

...East Reading Cemetery Junction/Palmer Park area. Can't post any pics I'm afraid as no digital camera, but he's a very distinctive spotted tabby, with large, emerald-green eyes. Has been neutered and is young & very friendly, but bearing some signs of rough living (cauliflower ears, healed damage to left front paw, etc). He's been visiting us daily for several weeks, breaking & entering through our cat flap looking for food. I thought initially he was just a greedy beggar but am now fairly certain he's homeless and have started to feed him regularly. Have postered/flyered the neighbourhood. He could have travelled some way (he's the sort who would jump into a van or something) so if he rings a bell with anyone?... Am contacting local rescues with a view to getting him checked for chip/re-homed if no one claims him (our boy is not happy with him and don't think he every will be unfortunately).
