What a lovely forum, I am so glad I found you - thanks to Gill for letting me know all about Purrs... it's going to take me ages to read all of the posts - I have been browsing through the forum, there is just SO much here!
Well, a bit about me: I am the proud servant of a gorgeous furry boy called Mutty. Mutty came to live with me six months ago after my last rescue cat sadly got hit by a car and died. Mutty lived in a small town near Bristol and when his owner moved house he kept running back to his old house (where he was being fed by an old lady who lived nearby). Mutty would then have to be collected by his owner, and would be taken back to the new house, and then inevitably once he was let out he went back to his old house. The old lady who was feeding him then decided she no longer wanted to have this cat turning up on her doorstep and said she no longer wanted to feed him - so every time Mutty ran away he would sit outside his old house and he started to get rather stressed and poorly. The sad decision was made to re-home Mutty, and via a friend of a friend he came to live with me and my boys. He settled in very quickly and as we were quite a long way from his old home he no longer had the urge to run away (or maybe he was just happy with the standard of our service!!) and he has now taken control of the household and we adore him! I will try and take photos of him and post them when I have a bit more time. I also work for a company who makes pet products, so I often get to try them out before they go on sale... which is great fun!
