how lovely of you to say that lisa. thanks so much for bringing them, was lovely to meet you. mum and baby are fine. they settled well during the night, i heard them playing a couple of times! baby loves to play with toys, bless her. they are so sweet. i cant believe how freindly they are. they purr so much when i fuss them. i have fallen for them big time! wish i could keep them!

Bramble is a star for taking these two in, i'm so glad they were not out in this cold weather last night.When i dropped them off yesterday i wasn't sure who was the most excited to have them Dawn or her other pets

Thank you Dawn for looking after mum and baby they sound as if they have settled in really well already

just been and given them their tea. wouldnt have thought they could eat while they were purring so much!! they are so sweet. kitten cant get enuogh fuss bless her and mum keeps licking my hand when i stroke her. they are both little purring machines! will try to get camera working so i can take some pics. i am so glad they are here and out of the cold now, it was no life for them. they are so lucky lisa fed them and cared enough to do something about them.

hi all. lisa and OH bought mum and kitten here today.they very confused i think. had to bath kitten straight away as poor thing had squits in carrier on way here and was covered in it poor girl. they settled in our spare bedroom both love having a fuss especially the kitten. both been purring and mum licked my hand! they both gorgeous. had some cat biscuits and loving being in warm igloo beds. thanks so much lisa for caring for them enough to feed them and bring them over here. will post some pics when camrea battery is charged up! bramble

Sorry i've not up dated you all but i have my little one poorly at the moment.On xmas eve i had mum in the carrier all ready and waited for her baby to come but she never appeared so we had to let mum back out, her little one turned up about 5 hrs later so she is fine and both have had lots of turkey

. I can't get over to Bramble until probably Wednesday or Thursday is that ok with you? i don't want to phone over xmas if you have family over so i've thought i'd post so everyone knows they are ok still.We'll get them over eventually x

hi merry xmas to you all. everything ready for the new arrivals but the kitten didnt turn up at lisas for her breakfast so they havent made it to us yet. we hoping she is ok. lisa will let me know later if she appears. hopefully they will be with us in the next couple of days. i really hope so. will post some pics as soon as i can. dawn

milliesmum is a star! her and husband are bringing the mum and kitten to us tomorrow morning. i have a spare bedroom ready for them and will keep all posted with how they are settling in. i think the most important thing is getting them spayed. i will phone a couple of local vets to see what they charge and can hopefully get a voucher to help with the cost. good luck for the jourey lisa, hope you get here ok. thanks. bramble

hi, we are in derbyshire, near derby. i am not a rescue just a very concerned animal lover. i could keep them in our spare bedroom safe, warm and fed until i get a rescue space for them. we have rescued cats and dogs of our own and i know 2 people who run cat rescues, at least they would be safe. pm me if you need to and cant find anywhere else for them. bramble

I can get them in a carrier easily as they know i feed them so they let me stroke and pick them up but not for long.I would honestly take them in but as i say i have 4 cats and 4 dogs of my own and if i took the kitten in then it wouldn't be fair on her mum so i'm stuck in a corner of what to do and it's awful when they are sitting on my door step or on my window sill

i have transport but i'm awful with directions Bramble if you could take them where are you situated?

the poor cats. how can anyone think its ok to leave them in such terrible weather, they arent fit to have animals at all. isnt there anyone who could take them if you were able to get them in a carrier? its awful to think of them so cold. are you in the midlands? i wish a transport run could be arranged to get them to us and i could keep them safe until they went to rescue or a new home.

A few months back I "found" a little kitten in my front garden. I left her there for about 30 mins, mewing in distress, before I took her in as it`s a very busy road. We called her Tia, as she was so unusually marked being white with chocolate brown swirls.

I logded her as found with local vets etc, and kept any eye out for any lost notices. I must admit I didnt look too hard when I realised wher she may have come from! When no-one came forward Angie agreed I could foster her until she found a new home. Little Tia is now causing chaos with one of my best friends and her 3 other cats. She came to pick me up to go on a course, and went home with a kitten!

I`m sure Tia is one of a litter of 4 born near me this summer, whose mum lives outside all year round with a shed for shelter. The little lass is only about a year old herself. I often see her mewing to come in, and feed her if I see her in my garden as I`m not sure how much attention she gets. Her brother hasnt been seen for months, and he was so friendly. My neighbour kept returning him to me as he thought he was one of mine! I wish I`d "lost" him too!

The people seem to have had a sucession of very young cats over the last few years, who all disappear after a year or so. I worry about the mum as she hasnt been around for a few weeks, and think she may be expecting again as she doesnt appear to have been spayed.

They now have two (!!) young terrier pups!

They are both still out in the cold i have put a blanket and a large plastic box outside and i keep supplying lots of food and i check them as soon as i see them too
they wouldn't be bothered if they disappeared at all the kitten is starting to become semi feral i think as she doesn't want handling but she will have a purr still when stroking her though probably because she knows i'm going to give her some food

any more news on this poor kitten? have you secured a rescue place for her or have you taken her in?! terrible that she is left out in this awful weather. hope you can sort something soon. would the owners even notice if she just "disappeared"

Trust me, Mark makes no difference. I've reported three cats in this area that I know are regularly shut out for prolonged periods of time. All of them are still where they've always been. (And yes, I do feel like a snitch....but if those cats froze because I hadn't done the only thing I'm legally allowed to do I'd not forgive myself.)

could you try Cramar Cat sanctuary 0121-445-1840 they are J2 M42 near hopwood. I doubt they have room but it is worth a try.
I would love her - but Zubin will not accept another cat, he dislikes Thai with a passion.

i wouldn't expect them to do anything to tell you the truth she is fed ( by me ) so they can't say she's that much under weight she just has no shelter

I would have thought purposely leaving a cat out in the cold would be a welfare issue. Maybe the RSPCA could advise although I don't have much faith in them.

Are you able to provide a shelter for her in the meantime. An plastic box on its side in sheltered spot with bedding and heat pad. At least it would be something. Poor little mite.

Millies mum - how many cats do they have? Did you explain the urgency of the situation to the CP? (Unspayed female left out all the time....) I know they're absolutely bursting everywhere, but I think a case like that is classed as priority due to the "knock on" effect it's likely to have. Could be wrong.

Makes me sad too, there are some people around here that are the same...

they know we're feeding her but turn a blind eye why they have animals is beyond me, i did sort of take her in but the OH is saying no more animals as we have enough.She is not spayed i even went round there saying i have a voucher for a cut price spay 2 months ago and they've not been round to collect still.
I live near walsall if anyone can take her please let me know even her mum is out in the cold along with rabbits in the garden and they have just brought a puppy
