Ummmmmmmmmmm Ela, please read the bit called JUDGING in the rules

Many of the cats are very well known on here Ela and we all know who owns them. The canvassing week will also tell peeps who owns the cats.

I havent yet decided what info is going on with the cat picture and its name but likely the owner.

Because of the way the judging is being done if enough peeps vote than any bias will be ruled out. I hope people will vote for the cats not the owners!

However when I send the two Champion Cats to Colonel Beau I will just send Pictures with Cat name.......................although of course he can come on Purrs and look!

Can I ask who will be Judging? Also will the owner of the cat in the pic be known at the time of the Judging? We had a Catless cat show and the judges did not know at the time who owned the cats to ensure complete fair play.

If you can get a lot of signatures , I will think about it.

I just dont want to upset anyone whose babe is on the Bridge and doesnt win. I do not think I would enter Kocka cos she too special to me and I dont want her only picture used in a competition. To me she is the bestest ever cat and friend and dont need her in a cat show now.

4. You say no pics? Does this rule apply to the official canvassing thread only? Can people continue to post pics in normal threads so long as no blatant canvassing?Pictures can be posted on Purrs as normal butttttttttttttttttttttttttt if I find peeps suddenly shoving up loads of pictures for cats who will be entering the Cat Show , so that it is canvassing in effect, a very dim view will be taken and it is highly likely these cats will be banned from entering show as owners or carers are trying to sneak round the Cat Show rules

Thanks for the questions Dave cos they are ones that many will be interested in.

First the same photo can be entered in many classes as long as it is appropriate.

Second, yes you can tart the pictures up if you want but nothing must be added like a toy, another cat, a bed etc etc. The pictures should be real not fabricated and the thing to remember is this is a cat show not a photo show, so I hope that peeps will judge the cats no matter the quality of the picture.Of course a totally out of focus or very dark or light picture where we cant see the cat, will not help the cats chances

Being a lousy photographer, I have loads of those kinds of pictures

Apologies if the amswers to these questions are already in the rules and I'm just too dense to see them!
1. Can we enter the same photo in different classes if it is appropriate for those classes?
2. Can we use Photoshop or similar on our pics? In particular I'm thinking of red (or in the case of cats blue/green) eye, and "vitual vacuuming, when that otherwise perfect photo displays bits of cat litter trailed through the house!
