James came with a nurse - I didn't ask any questions.
Clapton put up such a fight and I have never seen him so terrified. The vet said his heart is racing and he was obviously in a lot of pain. He said from the outside, you can see Clapton's mouth is swollen. He tried to open Clapton's mouth a few times but said it was upsetting and hurting him too much - he wants Clapton in tomorrow morning to have a proper look under sedation but he said he has a feeling it is a growth
- He said he will know for sure tomorrow but if there is one, he will take a biopsy but that mouth cancers are usually very aggressive and there isn't much they can do. He said I should know worse case as he doesn't have a good feeling although he would like to be wrong
So he has taken a chance and give Clapton a Metacam and an Antibiotic jab.
I am trying to remain optimistic and have asked for his claws to be trimmed while he is sedated.
