OMG how did you manged to get your catnip to grow so well.  I buy at least two cat nip plants every year and as soon as they go in the garden my lot (Zephyr in particular) attack it and within two or three days the entire plant has been nibbled down to the soil!  :rofl: :rofl: Between my lot and the other local kitties I can't keep catnip!

The blue flowering plant is a catnip nepeta and my cats LOVE it! ;) It might be part of the reason our garden is so popular....

Sticking my neck out here, but the Catnip Nepeta is actually Nepeta Canaris (which suggest dogs to me, but what do I know??) butter all is the answer to that one! :evillaugh: If you want to thin out to replant, you can be awfully posh and buy an aluminium dibber, or you can be a slob like me and use an ice lolly stick. There definitely are - I have the monster in the picture and some lemon catnip in a tub. (Which looks like nettles and is nowhere near as pretty.)

Spoilsport! Haven't really tried drying it out with any real determination. Cropped it a year or so ago (supposedly to make it a more manageable size :-:) but haven't used the dried stuff in anything yet.

Blimey! that's a size I've bought loads of plants in the past and planted them and the ferals just squashed them to death  :innocent:  they love it!! :naughty:

It's the Canadian strong catnip we do which is close to Yeowww stuff. Yeowww don't do the plants ................yet  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I'd put it in a big pot and let it do it's thing - catnip's pretty crazy once it gets going. Is that the catnip used in the "Meeoow" sardine toys? If so, I'll have to get a plant!

I never bothered thinning out when i last hatched baby niplets, they never got big enough for overcrowding to be a problem  :evillaugh: ;)

For anyone who has brought the catnip plant kit..... How is your plant coming along?

First time for me growing my own lol  so just wondering if i am doing it right  :shify:

Had mine in a glass, now seeds have grown about 3 inches  and i think it's time to separate the "bits" and plant in small individual pots but how's best to do this to not harm the plants?   

Can't you tell i'm not very green fingered!!  :-:
