Fighting with others will be all this cat knows. He would of had to fight for food, females etc I would keep him in a room of his own and start slowly.

I always think keeping a newly neutered tom seperate whilst his smell fades away is the best way, you start off on a more even ground then as the residents are not threatened by a new smelly & aggressive cat just a new one.

My girls are sisters and fight all the time, it looks pretty brutal but theres never any blood drawn and they are perfectly ok again after a few minutes.

A newcomer, recently neutered, will fight with your resident cats. It is as much about working out who is in charge as anything else. The one with the most hormones is most likely to be wiling to have a fight - especially a former stray boy. It takes a while for the hormones to work their way out of a cat's system. and it also takes a while to introduce an adult cat into an existing household. Unless there is actual bloodshed, I would let them get on with it with minimum intervention.,..

are you sure it's nasty? mine fight tooth and nail sometimes, but there is no growling or hissing, and no bottle-brush tails, and both come back for more, so I assume it is just play fighting

could it be the same with yours?

Weve taken in a stray about 2 weeks ago and had him neutured last week. he keeps fighting now with my 2 other cats (1girl 1boy) is there anyway i can stop this as its turning nasty? its not over anything really just walk up to each other and fight id love to keep him but at this rate it aint working out  HELP
