Things are not good and have just spoken to Geraint.

Although his kidney levels are up slightly in Urea but down in Creatine to 319 an xray has been taken of his bladder and this shows stones and also tiny crystals are coming out. This wasnt the case on the crystals last time and he didnt have an xray, he was too ill for an anesthetic but have to think they were there.

Geraint says he needs an op to remove them and that would be on Tuesday when Gareth was there to do it as long as his kidney figures drop again.

Due to Frantas age and only one kidney this is an enormous risk but as far as I can tell from Geraint he will keep blocking and subsequently die if they are not removed.

Franta has pulled out the catheter and the drip and both have had to be reinserted

I will be going to see Franta tomorrow and need to see Gareth on Tuesday to discuss this, its just sinking in  :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am so scared I am going to lose my beautiful boy.......................

Thank you all.

Its doing my head in cos still nobody has rung and he has been there nearly 12 hours and last info I had around 5 hours ago was that he had pulled the drip out and they had ha probs getting it in the first time.

I know they have been very busy but cant even get through now, and still dont know how his blood test was.

I dont think there are any diet options cos he will only eat one food.......sigh

Its being mixed with water and he is loving it that way. He wont eat anything with lumps in at all and has always been like that.  I discussed this briefly with Gareth on Thursday cos he does occaisonally like the kidney biscuits but the problem is, his brother gets sick if he eats any biscuits.

Stress relief for both of us would be great!

I should have never said anything cos Franta is back in hospital and he has blocked up again  :(

Geraint thinks that they now have to discuss Franta cos he thinks he is going to need an operation to stop him blocking again.

Sorry to hear this  Gill  I does happen with some cats that they can block almost immediately after the first flush through.  Hopefully this time will get it sorted and you can look at diet options, stress relief (for both of you lol!  ;) ) etc, to avoid the op.

Thank you all.

Franta has apparently pulled the drip out but the catheter is in and working but the vet has had to go out on an emergency for a pregnant cow, so waiting for him to ring me when he gets back.

The nurse says he is comfortable but reckon Franta will not agree with that!

I should have never said anything cos Franta is back in hospital and he has blocked up again  :(

They are now going to repaet what they did last time and Geraint who he has seen before on his seizures is looking after him today.

Geraint thinks that they now have to discuss Franta cos he thinks he is going to need an operation to stop him blocking again.

Franta slept on the bed most of the night and used the tray so have got him there as sooon as possible so hopefully he will not be as bad as before.

A lying down silent Franta in the car and on the vet table is not a normal Franta.

Miight have jumped down from somewhere and just made it a bit tender .
Winston has been limping on and off for a  few days and he kept holding his paw up -the vet said he has a touch of arthritis .
Hopefully its either nothing much or your imagination

The trouble is when you have more than one it seems like first one has a problem then another and another .
Smartie has been a bit off this week and been sick on Tuesday night -been giving him avi pro plus and he seems a bit better today .

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I seem to be jumping from one problem to another.

I just dont need this but Sasa the semi feral seems to be limping...........I am just hoping its my imagination as vet back to emergencies tomorrow, althought Gareth said if Misa or Sasa need emergency care, there notes can be transferred after. Sasa was seen after being bitten about 4 years ago.

No other cats around cept Misa and am sure he wouldnt bite her.......please keep fingers crossed thats its just me panicking!

Thank you I am very pleased  ;D

Trouble is he is a bit down now which I am sure is the convenia jab for his bladder infection and it has been very warm here today.

Of course he could have worn him self out shouting for a couple hours.......sigh
