It's incredible people just walk by a sight like that.  >:( :'(

He looks like a Saluki cross to me.  :shify:

Big hugs from me and lots of woofs from Chester the dog.  :briggin:

Ahh what great news ... so pleased this lovely lad is going to get all the love and attention he deserves.  Does he have a name?

poor little man,he looks so :scared:,at least now hes got someone looking out for him,.once upon a time vets would do anything to help an injured animal regardless, now it seems all they are interested in is money >:(,no money no treatment.

I am truly appauled at some peoples lack of compassion. I hope that something can be done for him... Does he have a home to go to after the vets..? He needs a name that suits his surviving character..

People really are unspeakably unresponsive at times! >:( He looks like a saluki, perhaps he ran off from his owner who is looking for him? Presumably he was hit by a car? Poor laddie, hope he gets over his horrible experience ...

Dog spent a night in a ditch
« Reply #1 on: November 18, 2008, 01:31:33 AM »
Recieved a call tonight to say that there was a dog in the ditch and it had been there since yesterday afternoon they said that they had called the vet and he refused to come out they also said they called the guards and that they never turned up the lady said she thought the dog was dead this morning when she went to work. But heard from a neighbour when she came home from work that he was still alive

I made 4 phone calls and then we went of to collect the dog when I arrived there was 4 cars in the drive and no one with the dog we shone the torch into the hedge and there was the most saddest pair of eyes looking out at us
We lifted him into the back seat of the car and made our way to the vets who was waiting on us

Vet said he may have a split pelvis
but for to night he will be given pain relif, antibotics, andd put on a drip and a nice warm bed he will also be give a flea treatment. tomorrow he will be x-rayed to see the extent of the damage but for to night he is safe and warm
Big supprise there was no microchip
Well this dog will never have to sleep in a ditch again
