I only joined Purrs today, hoping to find a furry chum,  and I think I'm already in love!   :Luv2:  Two possible problems: I'm looking for an indoor cat - would she adapt? I live in west London and don't have transport.  Oh dear, shall I get me coat?   :-[

I think so, Dawn. Terrible to think that's all that matters. She really is lovely - I'm trying to convince my sister in law to take her. (She's looking for a cat but said she'd prefer a tom.)

she looks like a little sweetie - do you think because she is spayed she isn't so attractive to people?

It has indeed. If anyone wants the link so they can contact the poster for more info, PM me. It is sad - Fatipuss is blatantly stunning and the ad has been up for more than 21 days. Not every free cat gets snapped up.

Ohhh I wish I could take her, but the gruesome twosome   :evillaugh: wouldn't have it (Keli wouldn't object one way or the other)

P.S I find that torbies are not too full of tortietude, the tabby bit seems to take the edge off, for those woh are interested  :innocent: :shify: ;)

Go get 'em guys!  ;D

You might want to check on progress. I'm not sure if Animal Samaritans will follow up - I guess it's not fair to speak to Silvana. I had a list of numbers to give the woman but she said she was on the road, didn't have a pen etc so not much I could do.

Yes Swanley is just up the top of my Lane.....BUT i really havent got room and i have Harmony in my home with my 11 and i think adding a rather huge tortie would upset the apple cart  :evillaugh:

Hope she finds somewhere xx

(is there anything i can do to help though Mark ?)

She was when I spoke to the woman on Friday - so unless the woman from Animal Samaritans has offered a place (unlikely) I would imagine she still is.

Mark, do you know that Fatipuss is definitely still looking? if I asked around all the people I know (dotted around the UK) would we be able to organise a transport chain if we found somewhere do you reckon?

Isn't it self-explanatory? - how could someone let an animal go like that?

I would find somewhere that took animals or not tell  ;)

It took me months to find somewhere to rent that took animals while we were waiting for our house purchase to go through. There are places if people look.

That wasn't a very good link as the song has been messed about  here's a better one. Maybe the song isn't that relevant but I love it anyway  :)

Title: Keane - Sunshine lyrics
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc8BaEWN6_g&feature=related

Artist: Keane - Sunshine

I hold you in my hands
A little animal
And only some dumb idiot
Would let you go
But if I'm one thing
Then that's the one thing
I should know
Can anybody find their home
Out of everyone
Can anybody find their home

I hold you in cupped hands
And shield you from a storm
Where only some dumb idiot
Would let you go

But if I'm one thing
Then that's the one thing
I should know
Can anybody find their home
Out of everyone
Can anybody find their home
Lost in the sun
Can anybody find their home
Come on, come on, come on
Can anybody find their home

Oh oh-oh-oh-oh
Can anybody find their home
Out of everyone
Can anybody find their home
Lost in the sun
Can anybody find their home
Come on, come on, come on
Can anybody find their home

Oooooh
Can anybody find their home
...

She really is. Poor Fatipuss - people on the loved site are a better class? Where's that theory from?

I just phoned this lady and asked if she had contacted local rescues to go on their waiting list. She said she hadn't but wanted to try to do it herself first. I warned her that advertising on Gumtree can be very dodgy. She said she hadn't had much response so was going to advertise on ***loved as there was a better class of people replying  :tired:
I told her it was not better. I offered to give her numbers of local rescues but she said she didn't have a pen and was on the road  :tired: - she said "Don't worry, I won't let it go to any old dodgy ***tree person" - I told her the advantages of going through a rescue but not sure if the message was made clear.

I also just spoke to a lady at Animal Samaritans who is going to look into this.

Any news on this one? - they really need to get themselves on rescue waiting lists. This is becoming really common now - Sharon was only saying today that the number of calls about people going into rented accommodation has really shot up recently.

btw - Fatipuss is gorgeous  :Luv2:

Crossposted:

"We are looking for a good home for our 2 year old tortoiseshell puss. Unfortunately, we are moving to a new home where pets are not allowed. She is a very placid, lazy and fairly unadventurous cat (greatest catch so far has been a tea bag!), very much one for company, and is used to children. She has been brought up on a diet of boring dried food, but somehow still manages to look like she could use a good workout! We are not looking for any money for her, just the knowledge that she will be loved! She is spayed, id chipped and innoculated."
