It is a cul-de-sac,. The neighbour that lives in the house facing the cul-de-sac said she always keeps an eye on the old people. The old lady said she didn't know and living alone it made her feel better. She said she had made a friend because of the cats
The younger woman said that she had seen the old man go to sainsbury's in his boxer shorts twice and last week so she phoned social services as she was worried. They told her to find out who his doctor is and phone him. Then she saw him sitting on his front wall in only socks. She phoned SS again and they said they would "try" to send someone round. They never did and the next thing they knew, he was dead in his hallway. The police had to break in to get the body. She is angry that "The SS" didn't do a thing to help a sick old man
I felt sorry for the old lady as she said she was scared living alone knowing her neighbour was dead next door. She has never owned a cat and said she had to ask in sainsbury's what the best food for siamese cats was - they gave her Whiskas supermeat
