Hi and welcome  :welcome:

I am new too, and I must say what a friendly bunch they all are.

Sorry about your Billie, it is so sad when you lose them, I lost my ginger tom cat to cushins disease and he was  the love of my life until I got Otis.

You are going to have your hands full with the others, good luck!!

Hi and  :welcome: Pippivixen!

Sorry to hear about Billie, but well done in taking on Shadow, Cloud and Misty - love the names btw!

I'm sure that Shadow will soon feel right at home and realise what a lucky girl she is to find a family like yours to love and care for her!

Look forward to seeing pics of them all!  :Luv:

Hi and  :welcome: to Purrs.

Sorry to hear about Billie ... RIP little one.

Can't wait to see pics of your furry family.   It's a shame Shadow seems to have a had a bad start in life but as you say with lots of love and TLC I'm sure she will soon come round.

If you need help resizing your pics the following may help:

http://www.download.com/JPEGCompress/3000-2204_4-10404412.html?tag=lst-0-1

or

Image Resizer for windows XP

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
It's the 10th or 11th on the right hand side .. Image resize.
Once installed right click on the photo you want to resize.
Select resize pictures
Select advanced
Select custom
Put in 400 by 300 (sometimes you have to put in smaller figures if it is still too big).
Click ok and it makes a custom photo ready for uploading

You can resize more than one picture at a time by highlighting them all and following the resizing steps above.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

MSE is the Money Saving Expert website http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/index.html. They have an off topic section and I made a post on there asking for help as Shadow kept chasing the kittens and a very helpful member gave me the link to this site.

Hello

Another Newbie here, I was directed here by a member on  MSE  :thanks:

After losing my 16 year old Billie to cancer just before Christmas, I am now the proud "Mum" to Shadow, black 18 months, her grey kitten Cloud who is now 12 weeks and another 12 week old black kitten, Misty. I got all of them from Seasaw a rescue centre in Leavenheath, Essex, Shadow and Cloud were handed in by someone who claimed they had found them dumped, but Seasaw had doubts about that tale and Misty was born at the rescue centre and was the last of 7 kittens to be rehomed.

I got them on 17th December and the kittens have settled in well, Shadow is very timid and shy, it saddens me to see her flinch and shy away when I raise my hand, like when I am brushing my hair or reaching into a cupboard, it is quite obvious she has either been hit or had things thrown at her, but I am sure, given time and lots of love (she adores my Daughter) she will soon settle.

I tried to post some pictures, but lost the whole post, so will try and post another time. Billie is the cat in my avatar.
