Thank you all so much for all your messages, I really do appreciate them.  I haven't been able to get back for a while but I will try and get some pics of Dot put up asap.  I am also investigating the possibility of adopting another adult MC, so there may be another photo to come in due course.  Once again  :thanks: to all of you for the warm welcome.

C.

Hi catbird and many  from me too. I've got a moggie tortie who likes to think she's a pedigree and a tabby who I rescued from Gibraltar.

Welcome to Purrs  :welcome:

I've got peds - Persians (9 of them!) and Mogs (2 of them) - most of my cats have been rescues (including some of the persians) and others I've had as kittens from breeders.

Hi there, don't try to attach your images I made that mistake. Just get the link from photobucket (or something like it) you want the one that starts and just add that link below your text, then preview to make sure it worked! I had to resize mine but photo bucket have a tool and you can pick thumbnail resize and it works fine. Ark at me! anyone would think I know what i'm tlaking about LOL

Hi Cath and  :welcome: to Purrs,

As you will have no doubt realised by now we are a very friendly bunch on here ... the primary objective of this site is to help rescue cats but that does not mean we are anti Pedigree (after all even Pedigrees end up in resuces  :'( ).

I am currently owned by two Abyssinians and a gorgeous tortie moggy.

Looking forward to seeing pics of Dots.

All the best

Hi, welcome!
Love to see some pics of Dot, she sounds great. I have a Maine Coon, Xanthe, and used to have a nutty Siamese called Binky, and have also had a couple of moggies called Billy & Tipsy, so all cats are welcome and loved here!  ;D

Hi Catbird   :welcome:  to Purrs  -  can we have a first name?

I have three moggies and a Manx

Pleased to have you on board

Wot, me or the cat?  My name's Cath and Dot's name is... er... Dot.  She has a posh name too but to be honest she's not very good at being posh.  She's better at doing things like lying upside down in the bath and shouting obscenities from the top of the cat tree.  We share similar pastimes except that if I tried to get to the top of the cat tree, she'd be down a cat tree and quite possibly a primary carer.  Oh, and she doesn't get through quite as much S African red.

Bazsmum - thankyou for that.  I will have a look tomorrow - got to shoot now as I have a number of things to atend to.  Not least of which is rectifying the current empty state of the cat food bowl (oh, the horror!!)

I keep trying to reply but I keep getting a message saying that I have already sent the message.  Nothing ever seems to appear on the thread though.  Also, I can't seem to attach a pic as another message tells me all my files are too big.  Help?  (assuming that this one gets thru)  :-[

:welcome: Catbird. Provided you love cats and are as mad as we are then you're welcome!

We have all sorts from rescue moggies, which is of course the purpose our site exists, but we have Persians, Bengals, Abyssinians, Siamese, BSH, NFCs, Birmans, Ragdolls... need I say more?

The :rules: state photos are mandatory unless you want harassment so cough up soon!  ;)

Hi catbird, I used to breed siamese and orientals, and other members are currently breeding pedigrees. We welcome anyone who loves cats and is willing to engage in reasoned debate on the issues involved in cat ownership and care ...  ;D

We also demand photographs of your darlin's so pony up with the pix

Hi All,

Is this site friendly to people with pedigree cats?  I have always had rescue cats before but this time I opted for a pedigree (cos there's a breed I have always loved) and I am finding it hard to find a general cat site that welcomes pedigree owners.    :scared:
