caledonia! Though I have to echo the sentiment expressed by others, so sorry to hear about your recent loss, Bertie is such a beautiful, sweet boy!! However you must know that he will always be near in your heart even if you can't see him.
I hope and believe chatting in this forum will comfort you a lot, we all know, care and feel with you.
Hang with us whenever you feel sad and lonely, or even when you feel okay, we will try to make you feel better!! And hey some day when the time is right, Bertie will send another furry baby on your way so you won't be left alone!!

Hi Caledonia and
to Purrs,
I'm so sorry you found us under such sad circumstances but you have definitely come to the right place. Everyone on here is very friendly and most of us know the immense heartache and pain that comes with losing a furry friend.
Bertie really was an incredibly handsome boy but he will always be with you ... a special boy like him leaves more than a pawprint on your heart ... they trample all over your heart soul and mind and make sure they are forever with you.
RIP Bertie ... much loved and sorely missed by your mummy. Play hard at the bridge handsome.

We all know what you are going through, which I know is not much consolation , except it means we all care. Bertie is one handsome boy and I bet all the girls will be chasing him up there on the Bridge.
RIP Bertie, play hard and you will never be forgotten cos you will always have a pawprint in your meowmys heart.

Hello all,
Just wanted to say hello as I have recently joined Purrs in our heart and wanted to say hello. Sadly I came accross the site whilst trying to find some comfort following the passing of my Beloved Bertie on Sunday. Bertie was my one and only baby as I had been advised by the Rescue that he needed to be a lone cat. I have been very very sad without him but I am trying to focus on the good times and I am thankful that I ever got him in the first place. He was a lilac point Balinese that had been given up because he was bullying the other cats in the home. I couldn't believe it when I set eyes upon him back in April 2005 and when I found out he had been there for three months I was even more shocked. It seemed that most people going to the rescue already had a cat so could not take him on - lucky for me I guess! He was the most affectionate and intelligent cat I could have ever hoped for and will always have a place in my heart.
I will try and post a picture here but I have a fear I don't have any small enough.
Anyway I look forward to chatting to you all and trying to cope with my loss. Hopefully with time I can think about whether I have room in my heart for another special boy or girl - but right now I fear I would be expecting too much from them!
Hello all anyway xxxx
