This little lad is now back from the vets........he is such a sweetie  :Luv:  :Luv:  Whilst he was in there I asked for an FIV/FeLV test as I was a little concerned re the apparent weight loss.  Anyway, he's had 2 tests, both positive for the FIV  :'(  I'm going to get another test done on him and get it sent off but I'm sussing out prices between the 2 vets at the moment.......I haven't got a clue how much the Glasgow test cost  :Crazy:  One vets uses Iodec, not sure who they are but they charge £58.60  :tired:  The FIV/FeLV one I've just had done cost £30......should have been £60 as they did 2 but I didn't ask for the second so didn't pay it.  His health isn't too bril, his skin is quite pale, he's scrawny on the top but does have a belly on him and his glucose levels were raised.  He'll be going to Sean's vets for a blood profile and he have to be tested for Diabetes as well.  He is approx 10 years old and once I know for definite his FIV status, he'll be up for rehoming.  He has now been neutered, microchipped and he's had his first lot of jabs.  I'll take some piccies over the next couple of days  :Luv:

Phew! Atleast once they are spayed/neutered you wont have the problem of re-homing etc  ;)

The grey/white is now in the vets.  Although feels quite skinny, he is quite a big cat and weighs 5.5kg.  I've asked the vets to give him a general check over and he'll be microchipped as well.  He seems to be a nice natured boy and shouldn't be too difficult to rehome once his hormones subside.  The guy who contacted me initially has just phoned and he said he's been talking to the neighbour this morning, apparently they have about 8 "strays" going in their garden, non are spayed or neutered  :tired:  The good news is, they seem quite happy them being there so it will just be a case of getting them done, and shoving them back.

Caught the brown/white cat this morning but he isn't brown/white, he's a grey/white  :tired:  He isn't a feral so bang goes my home for him at the farm, but he's unneutered and very skinny, and looks to be quite old.  I've asked around the vicinity and everyone has informed me he's a stray.  He's booked into the vets in the morning for the chop and check up.

I've been up there just now to drop the trap off, and the guy has said the female looks decidedly slimmer today so it sounds like she's dropped her kittens  :censored:

I'll give you a bell tomorrow anyway cos just got back in.........nightmares!! nightmares!!

Saturday is a bit of prob for me as I'm stuck in work  :tired:  Ideally I need somewhere for the pregnant one but haven't got a clue how far gone she is, all I know is she's getting bigger.  I don't think you'd want to take the 4/5 month old ones would you  :evillaugh:  One is a real fuss pot, the other I've not managed to get near yet but once caught he/she may be ok  :-:

I'll give you a bell later if I can, just gonna get some tea and a brew.....I've not long been back in  :tired:

I've been to see the farmer this evening and he's happy to take the 3 from Ruthin, I've also mentioned the other 2 that I need to get but only in passing  ;)  Whilst there, he was saying one of the guys that help out is after some ferals, he also has a farm so he'll let me know how many he can take.  Also, his uncle has shown an interest so the feral one's may be sorted and it may end up, they'll take more off me which is a god send as I've getting mithered to death at the moment about them  :tired:  All the cats that have been released at the farm have settled in great, he sees them hanging round in the barns and are all eating well  ;D  I have to say, it's a great life for them, they have plenty of room, food on tap and they get no hassle  :Luv:  :Luv:

I wish you lived nearer Mags or I had more time, and then I could possibly get some over to you but I'm run off my feet at the moment and there's not enough hours in the day  :tired:  I've still got to sort a couple out from Ruthin that were left, one's a tortie so will deffo be pregnant, the other I haven't got a clue whether male or female and they are both wild  :sneaky:  I've tried wording my friend up today to take the other 2 torties and the black/white feral and then I've still got space for 3 possibly more at the farm if I talk nicely to him and still got room at the stables.  The tom that attacked the guys cat last night has been forcing his way through the cat flap to pinch food, he was quite big initially and only young but has lost a lot of weight apparently........he must be hungry and not getting regular food so he'll have to come away from there.  What I may do, is take him up to the farm up the road from me and see if he'll settle there.  He'll be on his own so they'll be no cats for him to fight with, I need to catch him first to see what he's like and then make a decision.  To be honest, all this is stressing me out at the moment, it just seems never ending and the phone calls just go on and on  :-:

Hi Kelly, what area are you in?  The pregnant one I think is pretty tame, I haven't got a clue how far gone she is but she has 2 kittens from a previous litter.  I think they look to be about 4/5 months old, one's pretty tame, the other really timid.  Also had an email off the same guy where these are, saying a stray tom turned up last night and beat his cat up  :tired:  God knows what I'm going to do with him, I just haven't got the room  :(

Need to get a couple of places lined up for a pregnant cat and also 5 7/8 week old kittens.  I'm hoping 3 of my Ruthin cats will be going beginning of next week when the other 2 females have been spayed but I've also got another 2 feral ones to sort from the same place so need to make space myself  :tired:
