Fingers crossed, JoAnn

I have my tray tucked in a discreet corner of the living room - behind some furniture. I have their food bowls in the kitchen. The only time I had cats refuse to use their trays at all, apart from the hood thing, was when I placed the tray in the hallway -which was a busy thoroughfare - or when I had the food bowl within a few feet of the tray. In those days, though, I was a bit green to say the least...  :shy:

His toilet isn't right next to his food but it is near it.  I just hope that things get better now.  I hate having to rewash clothes because he took a big pee on them!   :tired:

I don't think it'd do my appetite much good if someone said they'd put my dinner on the floor next to the loo  ;)...slim-fast or what?

I've found that too with some cats. Well done for solving it.  :wow:

I think though, generally, some people also place trays in the wrong place - too 'public'. Another mistake is to place a tray next to a food bowl. No reason for saying that now other than I just thought of it.

With his recent toileting habits I decided to think about his box.  On a whim I decided to remove the 'hood' so it was just the tray and voila, he was straight into it.  There hasn't been any accidents since so maybe, hopefully, that was the problem, he didn't like to do his buisness with the hood on.
