OMG knitted nativity scene, that will have taken a lot of skill I am sure.
I thought you was going to say she knit her own engagement ring

brilliant!! Love the knitted cat and the models
So clever to be able to do that.
A colleague of mine knows an elderly lady (83 and she's just got engaged!
) who can knit something just from a photograph of it. Hence me and my sis have a Tiny Clanger each, and another colleague of ours now has a whole knitted nativity set complete with camel and donkey.

It would be possible to stitch the markings on emmylou and I have done this with Chinese dominant spot hamsters but I didn't feel the effect was quite the same as when I knitted it in. It looked 'embroidered'
It looked nice enough anyway and the person I made it for liked it

Fab! I havent knitted since I was a kid, but just a thought - would it be easier to 'stitch' the markings on after?

I felt a bit bad as Sootyca bid so much for the Sky knitted bauble and she said knit Sky as it is easier than a tabby so I decided I'd try and do Robbie as well
He does look more stripey than tabby however hey I gave it a go
Robbie was very handsome so I've added his pics too
