Have you done a google search for rescues in France who may be help with this? and if so do ring round them all I'm sure they won't all be like the rescue you mention and if you contact them now it gives you some time to get this hopefully sorted.  Best of luck

eta: I know of a couple of rescues which may be able to help which part of France are you?

Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

What a difficult position you're in, such a shame the neighbours won't help you help him  He sounds adorable, it might be worth trying to get him to a vets on the off chance he is microchipped?

How long have you got left in France? I know Ela has just moved to France but don't know if she is anywhere near you, there is also swampmaxmum, who although lives in the UK I believe has strong connections back in France.

A Ginger Ninja in the garden - I need some advice/guidance

I would really like some help and guidance as I have just experienced first hand being slapped in the face by humankind
regarding a young kitten/cat that has taken up residence in our garden. I find it so incredible that people complain
but will not do anything to help and then just pile the pressure on you. They only suggest taking the cat to the rescue center
which does not have a no kill policy - so he is not going there.

My situation is a little more complicated as I am in France. This cat appeared on our first evening back and as usual no one
knows where he has come from and no one wants to help - its a case of "you take him on and do something about it"

I am not sure if he is feral/stray or just lost. It is hard to tell here as no one neuters their animals and they are just allowed to
roam - so this little one could be from miles away.

He is a gorgeous ginger and white ninja and very nervous. However, I have managed to gain his trust
to the extent that now he will come and sit on my lap and allow me to fuss and stroke him. I have also been able to
check him over - definitely male, I would say around 6 or 7 months, good condition, not skinny and no fleas or ticks.

Now comes the hard bit for me - I am only here for approx 5 months and I am already getting attached.
Currently we are not in a position to take him back to the UK and my neighbour does not want to help me with feeding him.

Apologies that this maybe long winded, but any help/advice would be appreciated - do we still have any members in France?

Also, please do not think that I am trying to pass on the buck to anyone, I want to find this fella a great home - if
I had a permanent one here - he would be most welcome to stay.He is being well cared for and fed everyday.

I cannot get my pictures to load so will re size and post shortly.
