Orion sounds a sweet natured cat! Very unusual for a cat to like a vet!

My vets would pass out if I had a cat as friendly as that with them but did once have a dog like that and the vets were very dubious of her as they were always expecting her to do something.  Suppose they get used to animals being aggressive to them and when an animal is friendly they are suspicious of it.

Orion was due his rabies booster and annual check over so I had the vet come out to do it. It was a vet I hadn't seen before and so he doesn't know my cats.

I took him over to Orion's and when we went into his house the vet shut the door between the house and the run to prevent Orion from running away from him.

Orion instantly rushed over and accosted the vet for cuddles and every time the vet stopped stroking him he would gently nip his arm to remind him to keep cuddling him. The vet was doing the usual listening to his heart and lungs when doing his check up and because someone was touching him Orion felt it was essential to roll over to show his happiness and nearly fell off the scratchpost   :evillaugh:  The vet looked surprised and said "well he's certainly very friendly isn't he!" (I'm not quite sure what he was expecting Orion to be like?!)

When the vet then went to the other end of Orion's house to sort out the rabies injection Orion immediately jumped down off the scratchpost and followed him over, was rubbing round him demanding more cuddles, rolling over to show his tummy (in the hope that the vet would rub his tummy) & having a nosy at what the vet was doing. The vet said "well he won't like what is coming next", Orion proved him wrong by just sitting there purring away whilst he had his injection :evillaugh:

I now have a cat who is sitting sulking that the vet has gone away
