Just thought id finish this story off in case anyone was wondering what happened.
I couldnt keep them due to my boy Hendrix being Fiv so waited 2 weeks for space to be available
at the local CP , took them with much sadness last Sunday and i just hope that they find the great home that
they deserve after such a hard start in life.
Anyway heres a few pics of their time with me .........
1st Pic , being allowed out of the kitchen for the first time , mayhem ensued shortly afterwards with much chasing and carpet pulling  :evillaugh:
2nd Pic  , me slightly tearfull having a last group hug before taking them to CP
3rd Pic , Hendrix being psyched out by 2 rampaging 10 week old kittens
4th Pic , well i had to get one of the master of the house in for being such a great stepdad.

Thx for the training tip , no longer needed glad to report that they all used the tray
last night after only one minor accident earlier , been feeding them as much as theyll
eat and the kittens seem to be nursing off mom today which they hadnt done before.
Even moms coming round slowly , shes let me stroke her on her terms today and the hisses
when i go near the kitties are subsiding , will try and get a few more pics up soon.
(i havent named them ..... honestly i havent :evillaugh:)

If you stick some soil in with the litter they will get the hint, it spreads around but better soil on the floor then anything else!

The mom looked so happy when the MIA kitty arrived today and the kitten purrs were impressively loud
anyway im just trying not to get attached (no names allowed and all that) hope CP take their time finding a pen
for them though :evillaugh:.

That's so sweet about Mum cat  :Luv2: :luck: with the not getting attached, I fear it will be impossible  :naughty:

Theyre doing great this evening the kittens have just been caught playing with a sock in the kitchen
at which point they scarpered back to mom , so far theyve gone through 3 pouches of Felix 1 of Sheba
and all the meat off a cooked chicken leg , something ill no doubt regret in the morning as none of them are litter
trained (plenty of newspaper on kitchen floor).
Mom is feral and has only stopped swearing at my unwanted proximity today when shes been too busy eating
to manage it , the scars from her cat box encounter yesterday are pretty impressive and i think i may be taking a trip
to the doctors on monday for some antibiotics.
Id love to keep one of the kittens but since im already the owner of a Fiv cat its not really a possibility unless
they test positive when checked at Cats Protection (god forbid) , got a good look at the kittens today and the marble tabby
is a girl and the others a boy , gotta admit the little girls my favourite and is the one id have if i could.

Mom and Kitten - Update Great News
« Reply #1 on: June 26, 2009, 23:28:42 PM »
Ok this is a very long story but to summarise , workmate phones me yesterday
to say a feral cat whod given birth in his garden and been scared away taking the kittens with
her several weeks ago was back.
Popped round with cat box and we managed to get her and one of the kittens but the other one
ran behind a bush and literally disappeared into thin air , even after 2 hours searching we couldnt
find it.
Mom and one kitten (approx 8 weeks old and eating solid food) are now tucked in the teatowel
shelf in my kitchen (their choice of hiding place) and on the waiting list to be taken into South Birmingham CP
branch probably early next week.
Im happy as at least 2 of them are safe and mom will be spayed and hopefully theyll be rehomed together
and also sad thinking of the other kitten spending a night alone , but hopefully ill get a phone call with good
news sometime this weekend.
And yes i do have a picture , the kitten thats with me is the one on the left behind mom.
