I gave up on breakables years ago.  I'm not as daft as I look.

Jerry learned today that sniffing a boiling kettle is not a very good idea!

Mosi learned today that eating a cardamom pod is not a good idea.

I do shut Mosi in there on his own at night when he's in time out, but that is only for a short while and the main purpose is to separate them and give Mosi time to calm down.

unless you forget

Jaffa wouldn't like to be shut out of the living room.  That is very much his core territory as he and Magpie were shut out there overnight when I first had them.  He likes to sit in the kitchen window and watch the birds.  Even if he had a tray in the bedroom or the bathroom (where I am thinking of putting another one), he wouldn't like not having access to the living room and kitchen.  There have been times when he's been the one being a pain and Mosi has been behaving, but they've both got shut out so he can't really complain!  I do shut Mosi in there on his own at night when he's in time out, but that is only for a short while and the main purpose is to separate them and give Mosi time to calm down.

i am confused.....why was poor jaffa shut out ?

Poor Jaffa was shut out 'cos if he wasn't, he'd have no access to his litter tray.  I'm afraid when Mosi is naughty, Jaffa suffers too.

Ok, so it's more like Mosi 1001 Meowmy 0.

He's really got me wrapped around his fluffy little paw.  I really do try to ignore him when he's being a pain in the middle of the night early morning.  This morning he did the usual climbing on everything (esp things that make a noise like carrier bags) and generally sounding like a herd of elephants let loose in the bedroom.  I totally ignored him  :evillaugh:  So then he changed tack and went for the softly softly approach.  Nudging me gently and tapping me with his paw (I have to confess my hand did reach out and stroke him then).  When that didn't result in the response he was after, it was back to racing around the room, climbing on things and culminating in knocking over a load of stuff that was on the dressing table.  I'm afraid he won a partial victory then as I got up and shut the pair of them out of the bedroom.  Ok, he was shut out and everything went quiet, but I'm sure he was smirking the other side of the door.  After all, he got me out of bed!  :naughty:
