Good. Because there is no icon of Esther. Grey globe or otherwise.

To all others - I am sooooooooooooooooo sorry to have put you through this. But I still am wondering about snow. And whether you have a Groundhog Day (or, since you likely don't have groundhogs.. something similar?

We used to have reported sightings of 'the first cuckoo of Spring', but it seems to have gone out of fashion - or there are fewer cuckoos. Also highly unreliable!

nice to see yoiu again dm  ;D

parts of the uk are not on broadband yet and i am or was about as far west as broadband goes and my speed on broad band is pathetic!

sad how our country grinds to a halt with so little snow and i remember the lasy big snow they say is seventeen years ago and lived in london.

today their are no trains of buses there due to the snow but their certainly were 17 years ago cos i remember going to watch a big basketball match and being on a bus that was skiding sideways down a road on route

please tell me what is a groundhog?

No, we don't have a Groundhog Day and I, at least, had never heard of it until I watched the eponymous movie.  Incidentally, I think that's a truly wonderful movie...

We don't have groundhogs round these parts either.

Good to see you back with us, Dark Moon  :)

Over to the left, under the icon of Esther, is a grey globe, click on that and it will take you to the messages - but I will send you a message and then you don't have to find it ... ;)

this is Smidgen scuttling out to play first thing this morning - I like the way he flings his feet!
And yes, I am moving - will 'bump' my thread, called 'the project' so you can have a look - there are photos in it so if you find it slow to load, let me know and I will PM you some details to avoid boring everyone else ...

Pictures of babies are ALWAYS welcomed.

But, if you are going dial-up, be prepared. As they say.. Be afraid, Be very afraid..........

One pic will take tons of time. I welcome the pic.... but (and I am soooooooooooooo sorry to ask this!) maybe just one until I know how much time...

But not to worry! You say you are moving! Wow! It'll be a good thing. I am likely older than you and have definitely moved more often (yes, I know. But it's true!)." Change", as they say "is good, Donkey"

Sorry.... it's just a line that suck in my head.

Be well.

Our snow is really a bit pathetic compared to yours DM! Mind you,  I live in the SW of UK and whilst we have had quite a 'sprinkling', others have had 'real' snow! Its such a rare experience these days - although, saying that, we definitely had snow in Feb 2007 because I have a picture of my Gypsy (RIP) up to at least her ankles in it LOL!

Glad to hear the days are getting longer and you have brief 'warmer' moments!

I would love such but, sadly no..........

I know this will come as a shock to almost the entire Universe, but there are still some of us on dial-up. Not that I wouldn't go high speed. It just doesn't come here. (Yes, there are still such places.....)

It would take most of the day to download them and even when here they could only be seen in jerky bits.

But thanks for the offer.

Makes me feel better.

Awww, DM. I think that kind of snow sounds scary. I didn't get a picture of Astryd earlier trying to catch snowflakes because I wasn't fast enough, but it would've made you smile!

yeah, o.k. Maybe. If I try really hard.........

Have pictures of my Winston mincing his way across my yard a couple of years ago. Because, see, he had to be careful. Here, if you sink, you go totally under. None of this playing in the snow with paws thing. You disappear. Under more than your height. Several times more than your height.

My babies (being northern born) don't experience the joy yours are having. Our best thing is when he temp rises enough (-20 or so) that we want to go out (briefly). Because we still remember where the catnip plant is. And we will dig until we find it. Or our paws get too cold.

You were right BC. It is a very long and cold and dark (though the days are getting longer!) winter and I am back.

Thank you for still being there.

O.K. ...  I just can't respond to all the snow threads. Maybe we can coalesce them? Roll them up into one like snowballs? Or ice?

I am so amazed.

For us here it is a trial. The babies - even Edgar - the toughest of them all (he refuses to stay inside. Has ripped out each and every last screen I have in my house in order to get out) who normally want out, don't want out just now. Nor have they for months. It's a bad winter here. Came early. Deeply cold. We're tired and ready for something else. Sadly, the wretched groundhog saw his shadow (do you folks have Groundhog Day?) so we're in for 6 more weeks. At best.

But thank you all for showing me that snow can still be fun.

(I don't believe it, mind you, but...)
