Presumably this is sorted now so will move and lock   :)
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Must be something about ginger toms.....my LJ did the same to my indifferent partner - they're best buds now! (I'm second best for cuddles to LJ, but I'm not complaining! :Luv:)

Welcome to the forum - I love Tank Girl too, by the way!

Hello Sarah and   :welcome:  to Purrs

Keep looking in the shelters kittens are starting to be born now

We recently adopted two kittens - Parrot and Cody but they were older kittens about three months old, they are now six months old so they would have been born at the end of last year.

 :luck:

Thanks for the welcome  :thanks:

We've been talking about it for quite sometime, and do really feel that a kitten would suit our ol' fella best (I know that goes against conventional wisdom, but he's not a conventional cat!).

Anyhow, here's my gorgeous Cassiel so you can see how utterly scrummy he is...

Hi TankGirl and  :welcome: to Purrs.

Cat Chat is certainly the best place to look for rescues in your area. We're predominantly a rescue forum and some of the rescues from Cat Chat are members here.  They might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Does it have to be a kitten though?  There are so many older cats with sweet temperaments who just want to chill out at home and get on with other cats that are looking for homes.  ;)

this is the link to rescues in your area http://www.catchat.org/adoption/glos.html

I wish you luck.

Would be great also to see some pics of your furry baby so we can drool.  ;)

Hi all! Hoping you can help...

We are looking for a kitten to keep our beautiful 12 year old boy company. We live in a village, have a good-sized garden, complete with 5 hens! I am at home every day, and we have one 10 year old who is being home-schooled until September, so any new addition will have plenty of company.

Our existing cat has the most gorgeous temperament - he is smart, gentle, but playful, VERY affectionate & great with other animals & children. He would be better suited to a kitten than an older cat (he also has a very well-used "ignore button"!)

We definitely want a boy, preferably ginger, grey or grey tabby.

I have tried the local shelters, but have been told it's far too early - am I over-optimistic, or are there any kittens out there?
(Also posted on CatChat ;) )
