I try to find places to recylce our tetra packs - its so annoying that they can't just have a big bin / recycle point like everything else, especially as so many things come in tetra packs now.
I have to agree, I did find it wierd that the chicken flavour has very little chicken! I'm always a bit suspicious of pork.....I did some parastitology courses at uni - you really don't want to know, 'nuff said!

Its typical of councils not to want something that means a different machine, the end pulp is very useful and easy to sell, they are just lazy butter!
Tesco, Sainburys and Asda have responded to customer demand, as most people go to a supermarket its no real hassle to drop a bag of cartons off.

At some point i will contact Bozita to find out if the meat content is still the same.

I think I have found it to be a lot softer since they repackaged it, and they haven't been as keen on it as previously, i should be getting some more off my friend tomorrow. That's interesting MM, I know my council wont accept TetraPaks in recycling, whcih is a shame when they have Bozita, and i am on pure fruit juice!!

I dont get why they would change a label to look worse  It seems a different texture since the new packaging so maybe they have altered things. 

Applaws and almo nature are very similar so i pick whatever works out cheaper 

I'm really cuffed at it coming in cardboard cartons - better for recycling than the pouches

They still need to go seperate from normal card & paper cos of the foil lining, but alot of Tesco stores now have facilities for tetra paks 

The only brand from zooplus iv had turned up noses towards are Catessy pouches

Bozita have changed the way they label the ingredients recently and tbh I don't understand it.  It used to say it was 90% meat or something and I doubt they've changed the recipe from a high meat product to a low meat product, but they have changed the way they label it so that it looks lower.  The problem with pet food labels is the law means they only have to put very basic information on the packaging so it's hard to know exactly what is in it. 

Just had a look - the label on the bozita minced chicken says: chicken (min 20% chicken), pork, minerals, carrot then it lists additives.  It says on the front of the carton the meat content is 93%.  I wonder if that means it's 73% pork.  I don't mind feeding them pork as long as it's not every day, but I'd call that pork flavour food rather than chicken flavour!

Sounds good - I'll definately try the applaws and animonda, and the cosma too The info on Bozita on zooplus is overall very good - all the added vitamins, taurine, no additives preservatives etc. It says it has a "high" meat content, but was curious as to exactly what that meant I'll try the translation option on the almo - I'm not too worried, it says its complete, and looks to be very good quality - guess I'm just a stickler for getting all the info when it comes to my babies

it is difficuilt to understand the product information.  I usually end up putting it into an online translator.  Gives me a good giggle and I can usually get the gist.  I also have english cans of applaws, almo nature and bozita so assuming they are the same as the ones produced for the rest of Europe (just different packaging) I get it off them.

Mine love animonda.  I buy the animonda carny in the 400g tins as it works out cheap and they both lick their bowls clean in record time.  It has more calories per 100g than your average cat food too, so I get more than 4 servings out of a tin.  I recommend the cosma too.  It's like applaws and almo nature but in a jelly instead of a broth.

mine liked the almo and they love applaws. I must admit I was a tad concerned that the almo was not in English.
once I have some spare moent I will invest in some more. might give the bonzita a try too.

Well, I finally got around to ordering some bozita and almo nature off zooplus to see how my two would take to them (we've been buying mainly nature's menu, perfect fit and Hi Life, so wanted some more variety now we don't get Iams or Hills anymore). The bozita was inhaled at a rate of knots, so that one is obviously a clear winner! I'm really cuffed at it coming in cardboard cartons - better for recycling than the pouches The Almo got a mixed reaction - Skye loved it, but Riley-boy was a bit more cautious. The salmon went down well, but he was a bit ambivelent about the beef (unusual for him, it's normally his fave), but I'm not sure if the rice in it confused him! Apparently our boy is a bit slow to adapt to change, food wise anyway We're thinking of trying applaws and animonda next.
I was really impressed at how cheap the food is on zooplus, and it looks like really good quality (difficult to get full product info, as I'm not multilingual ). Any idea where I can get the detailed product info in english?
