Thanks for that advice Gill, I hadn't thought about that happening.  It now lives in the cupboard - with Ollie sitting outside waiting, eyes crossed in anticipation.

You could see a happy little cat who had forgotten to be scared for a bit.  It was so lovely to see.

Yes when they do that its wonderful and I am still waiting .......sigh.

A word of warning , please keep da birdy hidden so they cannot get at it unless you are around, cos one naughty cat on here bit the string and swallowed it and is now waiting for his tummy fur to grow back after having to be opened up to look for the string!

They are safe but only when you are there to supervise cos they love them so much

Not only is da bird a good toy it can now be classed as psychologically thereapeutic.  Ollie loves it and although he will only very occasionally let me rub his ears, he had pulled da bird out this morning when I came down.  While I was having my coffee he sat by the side of my chair and every so often patted me with his paw and then stared at da bird.  Very clear message so didn't do the kitchen floor as planned but played with him for ages.  You could see a happy little cat who had forgotten to be scared for a bit.  It was so lovely to see.

Portia actually touched yesterday but then had to go and sit on the stairs to recover from being so daring.
