:wow: I am happy to report that China's eye is improving slowly. There is less gunk!

She till holds her eye half shut at times but I can certainly see an improvement however small so I am really chuffed with this.  :Luv:

With regards to the anti biotics, I dumbed the pippette they gave me as they go into her mouth too quick. I've been usuing a small 100ml syringe which fits in her tiny mouth better too.

This has also improved her foaming at the mouth after her dose anyways.  :shy: YAY

I know what you mean, when Max had a few weeks of eye drops I think he genuinly hated me for a time  :(  But the meds have to be done, whether they like it or not, and they always forgive you in the end  ;)

Aw she is gorgeous, it is awful when you have to give them medicines, if only they could understand we are trying to help them!

Poor little baby  :'(

You just have to be strong and think "cruel to be kind" - thats all I could do when clapton had his last teeth out the other week. I felt so bad but within a few days, he was noshing away and loves me just as much as before  :Luv:

Hiya

They are meant to be give orally. You could mix them with food if you wanted to but this way I know she is having the correct dose.
On the leaflet this is a side effect. It's happened before with other kittens who have had to have them.

It's just very sad to see as they don't understand why I am being mean to them  :'(

My 5 week old Siamese kitten is not well. She's had a poorly eye which sticks together and she can't open it right.

Took her to the vet Monday and got eye drops. Was told if they show no sign of working by Wednesday take her back. She's hating me bathe her eye and apply the drops. She adopted a look that is pure evil when she hears me rattling the drops in their box.

Just back from the vets and she's been put on a course of the dreaded messy synalox antibiotic "palatable" drops.

I have just done her eye and one side of her face is all wet. Her furr is all scruffed up where I held her. She had her 3 drops of anti biotic quite well but then one of the effects is foaming at the mouth.

She did this for 10mins, coughing and looking very scared. THE poor thing. Mum cat was also looking very concerned. She has now been cleaned again of synalox and foam and looks so sorry for herself.

I've tucked her up with her brother and mum and they look ok, all be it at bit annoyed at bad big mummy "ME!"

I do hope this medicine works. I hate to see her so upset.

*here's to hoping they work*

Picture of China looking sad..  :'(
