I always thought encore was applaws made for Sainsbury's? Is that not the case?

Thanks, I don't think I've tried Encore. And I've never heard of Complivit - can you only get it from vets?

Complivit food supplement from the vets kept some of my lot alive added to their wet food daily - 1 pump is equal to a full days calories for a 4kg cat

Encore pouches are excellent quality http://encorepetfood.co.uk/product-category/for-cats/cat-pouches/

Also, the gourmet soup pouches are really good

Hope you have some luck with finding something

Not for me (sadly!) but for Drum, who's losing weight slowly but surely.

Vet says it's probably due to her chronic kidney disease - although two years on from diagnosis, she's still drug-free and other than the weight loss and drinking a bit more than normal, she doesn't have any obvious symptoms. Vet recommended renal wet food so I tried giving her Hills tuna flavour but she treated it like poison :shify: - even a tiny amount mixed with her beloved Felix met with disgust.

What can I give her to get some weight back on? Is protein (such as cooked chicken) okay or will that be hard on her kidneys?

She seems happy enough, bless her - has a good appetite (as long as it's not expensive renal food!) and for her age (16 in September), she's in good nick.
