I've been in a similar situation I know exactly how they are feeling.  Posters, Posters, Posters and even more posters.  There is a strong chance he will have rushed off and will now have gone to ground.  He probably won't be far from where he escaped.

Cross posted for a member on our site

On my way to take Sami to the Vet, I slipped and fell. The carrier Sami was in cracked open and he managed to run away. He is 6 years old, and has a cut above his right eye and he is a brown tabby DSH.
The vet is not in my town, but in Kirkliston. Sami has never been in this area. I am arranging for posters to be put up, and heading back out shortly to do a search on foot.

If any one spots him please email us at info@animallifelineuk.org and we will pass the information to his owner.
