It may have something to do with Fredcats thyroid , can that make them ansty??

Yes it can, my Elsa was very temperamental when she was hyperthyroid, trouble is the medication made her sick, so I didnt keep her on it.

Stevie has been spoilt today , and Beavis is now his new best friend. Bless him , he really does love other cats! :Luv2:

this is very hard as Ducha birman used to go for the throat of misa and sasa if he thought they were harming franta..............i used to have to be on the listen and look out all the time but it just suddenly stopped but prior to that peeps were advising me to rehome both birmans.

i would just keep a watch and like gillian says see if you cant think of ant thing that may have sparked it.

loads of luck

Were they ok together before Kirst? Did you see how it started and was there anything leading up to it that might have sparked it off? I'm thinking something that Fredcat found unpleasant - a loud noise, seeing a strange cat outside, anything out of the ordinary? that he might associate with Stevie? (often it can happen that the attacked cat just happened to be passing by and is associated with whatever the attacking cat found unpleasant). Having said that, it can just happen out of the blue, I remember it did with Harry and Jasper - and I was there, and there was nothing that I could tell,  had set them off.

You could try the scent mixing thing - you know, when you rub a cloth around each of their heads (mouth and cheek area) like when you are introducing a new cat.

No serious damage done , but Stevie is most put out that his friend turned on him like that -  :(

Should I just leave them to sort out their own diffrences , or should I try to keep them seperate for a while? Stevie is fine around all the others , but is justifiably wary about Fred-cat!
