fleshy - thick with slightly rubbery feel - would incline me back to peperomia then, unless Anthurium has fleshy leaves too?

Fleshy? I suppose they are, yes. (If I understand that description correctly in terms of a plant. ;)) Nope, no flowers just leaves. :)

Really? Bit worrying; I bought it from the local CP shop and when I asked they said they thought it was safe to put it in reach of cats. (Maybe they'd not met a cat like Darwin.... :scared:)

Its an aneamic anthurium LOL!  :evillaugh: - they do come in lots of colours though, from pale green through to bright red.
