How do you get into them....over head?

Now this confused me, you don't  :evillaugh:, you put your arms into it like you do at the hairdressers with their cape things .

But I guess you could put it on like a coat too and wrap it rounds yourself  ;).

Just wondering whether my mother would like one for Christmas cos suire she has not heard of them before either.

How to you get into them?

A colleague and I got them from QVC but I think if you google slanket it should come up. But I guess QVC are fairly trustworthy  ;)

I was thinking the same for my mum Gill!  I'd probably go to qvc like Leanne, I use them a fair bit anyway

Helen - funny I was moaning about it last night, I'm 5'9" and its REALLY long on me, a bit too long to walk around in to be honest. But if it means I can sit on the sofa, with hands out to knit and still be warm I'm happy (I can't believe i wrote that and I'm only 29  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:)

On the site I was looking at it said the travel slanket was: As cosy as the standard Slanket, it’s just a few inches shorter but then the diemnsions are smaller all round - will have to measure myself later but I think the big ones will be too big for me.

Slanket Dimensions:

    * Slanket (overall size) - approximately 152.4cm(W) x 241.3cm(L)
    * Large loose sleeves - approximately 71.1cm x 34.3cm

Travel Slanket Dimensions:

    * Slanket (overall size) - approximately 147cm(W) x 168cm(L)
    * Large loose sleeves - approximately 57cm x 25cm

They do a 'double slanket' too!

If you are good father christmas might bring you one of these to go with it  :evillaugh:

Don't laugh, but I actually do want one of those!  If my feet get cold, they stay cold all night and my toes cramp up  :shy:

My nan used to love hers, its was fab, and kept feet warm. My sister inherited it due to cold footsies. So no jokes :slap:

Mark I would love one of those seriously  :evillaugh: I am the coldest person in the world and with a North facing lounge and radiators not big enough for the room hubby is happy to let me have whatever I want to stay warm  :Crazy: instead of listen to my moaning  :evillaugh:

Helen - funny I was moaning about it last night, I'm 5'9" and its REALLY long on me, a bit too long to walk around in to be honest. But if it means I can sit on the sofa, with hands out to knit and still be warm I'm happy (I can't believe i wrote that and I'm only 29  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:)

The fleece is really good quality, in fact Jess has sat on my lap for the past 3 nights I've used it and there has been no hair left on it, I also suspect his been sleeping on it during the day. Where as my £5 primark blanket is disgusting it has so much hair stuck to it I think I could get another cat out of it.

Serious slanket question

How tall are you Leanne? I've just seen a Youtube clip with Bruce Willis on the website you linked to and it looks mahoosively long.  I'm only 5'3" so am thinking the travel slanket might be better to ask Father Christmas for?

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I was going to buy one, but only grey and dark brown and that I find  :sick:
There should be new ones coming in another shop in a few days.
Some fleece attracts hair more than other, I use them for the dogs in the car and wash them so often, they stay nice. But I have one that looks like it is at least 100 years old.
The softer they are, the less hair that sticks on and easier to get off too.
Every life should have 9 cats

 :P Il stick with an extra long dressing gown, that microfleece is a butter to defluff and i suffer with static if it gets tumbled  :( i do like the skull and crossbones one tho
